In the process of industrialization and urbanization in our country,a large number of labor force has been transferred from rural areas to cities, from third-tier and fourth-tier cities to first-tier and second-tier cities, forming a large-scale population flow, and floating children have also emerged. At present, the problem of migrant children has attracted the attention of all sectors of society. Our government departments and many scholars have also conducted a multi-faceted in-depth discussion on the problem of migrant children and achieved some results. As a vulnerable group in the floating population, migrant children are in an important stage of education, and their level of social integration is particularly important here.As a part of education, sports is a kind of social and cultural activity, and it is the simplest, direct and effective way of communication. This paper studies the influence of sports participation on the social integration of migrant children by means of questionnaires, aiming to add more bricks to the road of promoting the social integration of migrant children. In this paper,276 migrant children from three schools in Changsha city were investigated and studied by means of questionnaire, literature review, mathematical statistics and logical analysis. The social integration status of migrant children in Changsha city was analyzed descriptively, and the social integration degree of migrant children with different levels of sports participation was compared and analyzed.Correlational analysis of collected data(1)migrant children who participate in extracurricular sports activities are significantly higher than migrant children who do not participate in extracurricular sports activities in school identity, integration identity and self-identity;(2)There is no significant difference between migrant children who participate and those who do not participate in extracurricular sports activities in their identification with the people who integrate into the place.(3)The level of social integration of migrant children participating in extracurricular sports activities is significantly higher than that of migrant children not participating in extracurricular sports activities;(4)There is no significant difference between the social integration level of migrant children who exercise once or twice a week and migrant children who do not participate in extracurricular sports activities.(5)The level of social integration of migrant children who exercise three, four or more times a week is significantly different from that of migrant children who do not participate in extracurricular sports activities.(6)The level of social integration of migrant children with less than 30 minutes of exercise time is not significantly different from that of migrant children who do not participate in extracurricular sports activities.(7)The level of social integration of migrant children who exercise for 30~60 minutes and more than 60 minutes is significantly different from that of migrant children who exercise for less than 0 minutes and30 minutes.(8)The social integration level of migrant children who like basketball, footballand table tennis is significantly higher than that of migrant children who like running and skipping rope.To sum up,in terms of social integration, the average social integration of migrant children who participate in extracurricular sports activities is significantly higher than that of migrant children who do not participate in extracurricular sports activities, which shows that participation in extracurricular sports activities is an effective way to promote the social integration of migrant children. In terms of the frequency and duration of sports, the social integration level of migrant children who exercise three times, four times or more per week or those who exercise for 30-60 minutes or more per week is significantly higher than that of migrant children who do not participate in sports, which indicates that a certain amount of exercise is required for sports participation to have an impact on the social integration level of migrant children. In the choice of sports, the level of social integration of migrant children who like basketball, football and table tennis is higher than that of migrant children who like running and skipping rope, which shows that it is more effective for migrant children to participate in sports that require more than one person to participate in than sports that can be completed independently.
