The Survey About Shanghai Migrant Worker’s Dependent Children’s Participation In Extracurricular Sports Activities

The life problem in urban areas of migrant workers’ children is a hot issue which ordinary people and the government concerns to.Currently,the migrant workers’ children in Shanghai have accepted the city’s compulsory education.The migrant workers’ children of the city can be free to enter the school.This will solve the entrance problem,and bring hope to these special children in the future life and promote social harmony and practice the education fair.The problems children of migrant workers facing are whether they can accept the good education and grow up and live healthily and happily in the new city’s environment and enjoy the same treatment in the outside school activities.It is worthy of attention and thinking that how to enhance the migrant workers’ children’s sense of identity and belonging to the city.From the perspective of sports outside,it is discussed in this paper that the participation conditions of the outside school sports of children of migrant workers meanwhile they enjoy the fairness of the education.This paper provides some opinions and suggestions for the participation of outside school sports of children of migrant workers,through the collection and analysis of the data of the current situation of participation.The outside school sports of children of migrant workers are investigated through the research methods of the questionnaire survey,mathematical statistics and interviews.This paper finds that Shanghai migrant workers’ children have a positive value judgment and orientation for physical exercise.They participate to the physical activities actively with the internal motivation.The main factors which restrict the participation or physical activities of children of migrant workers are lack of disposable leisure time,public sports resources,support of the parents,stable and orderly organization,professional technical guidance and institutional guarantee.The parents’ education level significantly impact on the degree of physical sports participation of children of migrant workers.The parents’ career is significantly related to the degree of physical sports participation of children of migrant workers.The physical exercise frequency and time invested exist significantly difference between children of migrant workers from the city center and suburban district.According to the results of this paper,in order to promote the physical activities participation of children of migrant workers,the following development countermeasures are put forward: Create extracurricular sports instructor system and find a good teacher for the second sports class;Enhance the collaboration between schools and families;Optimize the community public sports resources and enrich the community sports activities;The government should complete the relate policy of education of children of migrant workers and make full use of the value of social public sports venues to reflect the effect of students in extracurricular sports;Form a united organizations of school,community and other social sports organizations to rich the scope of sports public service in the macro configuration of the government;Coordinate the sports resources allocation of city center and suburb.
