In recent years,even though the compulsory education for the migrant children has been solved by government to a certain extent,it was still difficult to solve the problem of "having a good study","learning well" and "going to school more".The state always appeal to schools "alleviating the burden on students",increasing the time and types of extracurricular activities,reducing use electronic products,emphasizing sports in the 5-dimension education,adding the sports performance to the senior high school entrance examination,and raising the score in the future.With the currently,this paper researches the relationship between contingencies of self-worth and extracurricular activities in comparatively research to the junior high school students.Contingencies of self-worth means the individual self-worth change in different fields.self-worth of the domain right of self-worth refers to the difference of.Anything that happens in the field cannot impact on the self-worth,unless the field that people attach attention to.This study divides the field of self-worth into four areas,which are related to their daily life,including study,sports,peer relationship and appearance.This paper compared the contingencies of self-worth between the city children and the migrant children in these four areas.In addition,extracurricular activities can improve children learning performance and motivation,meanwhile high contingencies self-worth also has motivation function.Therefore,this paper attempts to investigate the relationship between extracurricular activities and the contingencies of self-worth.The results show that the contingencies of self-worth in academic,sports and peer relationship of migrant children is low;the time of leisure in extra-curricular activities of migrant children is higher,which was mainly playing mobile phones,meanwhile the frequency of homework and learning is lower;further research shows that homework and learning time are significantly positively correlated with the academic contingencies self-worth.Based on the results,the researcher interviewed teachers and students in both school,then we got the answers:the homework was little for migrant children and most of students could complete it in school;teachers and parents ignore the migrant children use of mobile phones in extra-curricular activities;the migrant children did not have the pressure of physical examination so they could not pay enough attention to sports;the classmates are only friends to each other,so the peer relationship was stable.According to the data and interview results of this paper,the researcher made the suggestions:parents should communicate positively to enhance the understanding of learning for migrant children;community assistance policy can help the children communicate with local children;reasonable allocation of extra-curricular activities,improve the sports time of children,reducing use of the electronic products;cultivate the sense of achievement for urban children in sports activities.
