| Teacher education,as the "working machine" for the development of education,has been highly valued by the state.With the further development of the popularization of higher education,China’s teacher education has formed a pattern in which teachers’ colleges are the mainstay and other types of colleges actively participate.In the process of participating in teacher education,some colleges and universities set up an organization called "Teacher Education College" to manage the work related to teacher education.Although the "Teacher Education Institute" has the same name,there are certain differences in the reasons for the establishment of the organization,the target positioning of the organization,and the structure and function of the organization."Teacher Education Institute" as an important part of participating in the development of teacher education,why are universities established? What types and characteristics of established teacher education colleges? What factors influence the development of the Teacher Education Institute? When higher education is about to enter the stage of popularization,how should teacher education colleges optimize their development?These are issues worthy of our discussion.This paper draws on the historical experience of the organization of teacher education colleges and finds that the development of teacher education in each period is accompanied by the continuous reorganization and optimization of organizational structures.The popularization of higher education has developed in depth since the new century,and Chinese teacher education has gradually formed a comprehensive and open pattern,which has promoted the birth of the Teacher Education College.This article collects real cases of teacher education colleges in eight universities in China.According to the current status and characteristics of these "teacher education colleges",the "teacher education colleges" are divided into "professional college type","Administrative management type" and "Hybrid type" three types.Through the analysis of the case,combined with the interview data of 13 relevant staff of the "Teacher Education College" in five regions of North China,Central China,South China,Southwest China,and East China,we found the external environment of the organization,the internal situation of the college,the characteristics of the teacher education discipline Teacher professional development and other factors influence the establishment and development of "Teacher Education Institute".According to the analysis results of the current status and influencing factors of the above teacher education colleges,this paper believes that the organization optimization of teacher education colleges can try to think from the following four aspects: first,respond to the external environmental impact in time,attach importance to the development of teacher education colleges;Considering the internal conditions of the colleges and universities,the differentiated positioning of the Teacher Education College is formed according to school conditions;third,establish a resource integration platform to promote the development of teacher education disciplines;fourth,strengthen internal management and improve the modernization of internal governance systems and capabilities. |
