| Freshman adaptation refers to the fact that freshmen can smoothly integrate into school life,mainly reflected in six aspects of interpersonal adaptation,learning adaptation,emotional adaptation,behavior problems,school attitudes and class participation.New students ’adaptation is an important factor that affects students’ mental health,and it is also an important guarantee for the school to exert various educational influences.The first grade of elementary school is a key stage for individuals to adapt to school life.However,in recent years,due to the increase of only children and the imperfect connection of young children,the problem of adaptation of primary school freshmen is more common.Based on the review of the literature,it can be seen that the adaptation studies of primary school freshmen are mostly limited to theoretical discussions or current status descriptions,and there are few intervention studies.One of the main reasons for this is the lack of suitable evaluation tools.With the continuous development and improvement of projection technology,the form of painting projection test is becoming more mature,and is less restricted by the language level of the test object.Based on this,this study uses the painting projection test as the main evaluation method,using group counseling and individual counseling,respectively,to adapt to elementary school freshmen’ adaptation to individual interventions in order to enrich relevant results,and at the same time,provide some reference for school mental health education.The study first selected 9 freshmen with adaptation problems through the results of painting projection tests,observations and class teacher recommendations.The typical problems of 9students can be divided into three categories: interpersonal adaptation,learning adaptation and emotional adaptation,with 3 in each category.Furthermore,a total of 3 students were randomly selected from each category for individual psychological counseling,and group psychological counseling was given to the remaining 6 students.In addition,in order to improve the validity of the test and the entire study,the researchers adopted a three-level evaluation method of their own evaluation,postgraduate evaluation of the major,and authoritative expert evaluation of the painting results,and combined the use of observation methods.The results revealed that,from the perspective of immediate effects,both group counseling and individual counseling are effective in improving interpersonal adaptation problems,but group counseling is more effective;in terms of improving learning adaptation problems,group counseling is more effective at alleviating stress,while individuals Counseling is more effective for academic problem behaviors;in terms of improving emotional problems,individual counseling and group counseling are effective.Based on the above results,the researchers made the following suggestions for the adaptation problem of elementary school freshmen: 1.Choose appropriate counseling methods for different problems.2.Make full use of mental health education courses.3.Give full play to the role of teachers as role models. |
