Learning motivation is the driving force for students to engage in academic activities.The type and intensity of motivation are closely related to learning behaviors.Researchers have conducted a lot of research on learning motivation from different perspectives,but the stud on the motivation of college students' learning has not yet been studied.At the same time,the intervention methods used by most researchers are generally group counseling and cognitive attribution training.In order to enrich the diversity of university students'study motivation and improve their comprehensiveness,this research used questionnaires to investigate the motivation of 900 undergraduate students in a college in Suzhou.After this investigation,a intervention plan was designed based on self-determination theory.The intervention program tried to use the expressive arts groups to adjust their learning motivation.Yerkes-Dodson Law reveals us that moderate-intensity motives are most conducive to the completion of tasks.Excessive or weak motive levels can affect work efficiency.Therefore,the biggest innovation of this study is to use the intensity of students,motivation as an indicator of intervention.After more than six months of research,this study has reached the following conclusions:1.The conclusion of the investigation(1)The types of college students' motivation for learning are well distributed,with deep motivation as the main factor and assist with shallow motivation and achievement motivation.(2)There are many problems in the self-diagnosis of university students' motivation for learning.Nearly half of the college students think that their studies have some problems and need to be adjusted.(3)At present,the study motivation is too strong to be the most troubling learning problem for undergraduates,which in turn is plagued by learning objectives,learning interest and weakness learning motivation.(4)The types of college students' motivation,the degree of learning motivation problems,and academic difficulties are influenced by the factors of grade,gender,place of residence,and professions,which are quite different and complex.2.The conclusion of the intervention study(1)The intervention of expressive art group counseling has a significant effect on the improvement of college students' autonomous needs,competence needs,and basic psychological needs,and it has contimuity.(2)The intervention of expressive art group counseling intervention has a moderating effect on the motivation of college students' learning.(3)The effect of interventions for expressive arts group counseling on learning motivation is persistent.
