| In recent years,China’s e-sports has developed rapidly.News such as IG’s championship and the Asian Games gold medal have made the public see the emerging thing of e-sports.With the liberalization of policies and official support,e-sports is gradually getting rid of the negative shadow of "electronic games".The general public still has different attitudes towards e-sports.Understanding the views of different groups of people in e-sports is of great significance to the further development of e-sports.This research analyzes whether people’s attitudes towards e-sports are affected by third-party effects from the perspective of "third-party effect perception",and at the same time,studies what factors affect the third-party effect perception.According to the mature research models of predecessors,three variables that affect the third-party effect are selected:audience characteristics,media credibility and information nature.This study adopts the method of questionnaire survey,and collects a total of 413 limited questionnaires,and analyzes the sample data through SPSS software.Under the framework of the third-party effect theory,this paper studies the influence of the third-party effect on people’s attitude towards e-sports.Research shows that people’s attitudes towards e-sports are affected by the perception of a third person,and people’s perception of e-sports is affected by factors such as audience characteristics,media credibility,and the nature of information.The study found that the current public is more inclined to have a positive attitude towards e-sports,and the third-party effect of the nature of e-sports information received by people has a significant impact on their attitude towards e-sports.In addition,audience gender differences,North-South differences,collective convergence differences,and e-sports involvement differences,the nature of e-sports information,and media credibility will all have a significant impact on different e-sports-related issues.In addition,the study also found that there is no significant correlation between e-sports involvement and attitudes towards e-sports.Therefore,this study conducts supplementary research on this result.Using the method of in-depth interviews,we interviewed 27 audiences of e-sports events to study the attitudes of groups with a high degree of involvement in e-sports towards e-sports and whether their attitudes are affected by the perception of third-party effects.Research shows that e-sports audiences endow e-sports events with emotional factors such as youthful memories and national emotions,and at the same time use e-sports as an important means of social maintenance.At the same time,e-sports audiences also have negative worries about e-sports"influencing young people".This worry comes from the perception of third-party effects of e-sports.This research studies the issue of "factors affecting people’s attitude toward e-sports",and provides more targeted measures for how to better change people’s attitude toward e-sports.It has reference significance for the further development of e-sport. |
