It is obvious that the number of children with ADHD is gradually increasing in recent years. They are characterized by the attention deficit, which brings serious challenges to their own development,as well as teachers’ teaching and class management. As a consequence, improving their on-task behavior in the regular learning environment becomes a necessary and urgent task.In this research, the teaching of selfmanagement strategies is used to make those ADHD children learn consciously and reduce inattention behavior. On this basis, the effectiveness of this method is explored and related suggestions are proposed as well.In detail, two ADHD boys from grade 4 were taken as the intervention subjects to carry out experiment designed with cross-subject multi-baseline experiment, which belongs to the single subject experiment method. The self-management strategies were taken as the independent variables, while their on-task behavior in class was the dependent variable. The whole experiment takes 54 days and consisted of the following three stages: baseline period,as well as intervention expectation period and maintenance period.Visual analysis and ONE-WAY ANOVA were applied to quantify and analyze the collected data after the experiment, obtaining the following conclusions:1.ADHD children’s on-task behavior in class was significantly improved after applying self-management strategies;2.Their improvement of on-task behavior in class can be maintained to a certain extent after applying self-management strategies. The listed suggestions for future intervention and following researches on ADHD children were proposed by the researcher in accordance with above conclusions:1.It is suggested to use reinforcement correctly in the intervention process with selfmanagement strategies;2.New prompt methods shall be searched in the intervention process with selfmanagement strategies;3.The intervention time of ADHD children’s on-task behavior in class shall be extended appropriately;4.It is suggested to teach self-management strategies in various fields.
