A Case Study Of Intervention Of Psychological And Social Treatment Model Into The Treatment Of Children Witnessed By Domestic Violence

Domestic violence is a prominent global social problem,which greatly endangers social order,family stability and the physical and mental health of women and children.In 2015,China promulgated the Anti-Domestic Violence Law,which provides clear measures to deal with domestic violence in China from prevention to treatment as well as the safety protection of victims.However,we should also note that the current intervention on domestic violence mainly focuses on the punishment of male "perpetrators" and the protection of female "victims",while neglecting the invisible group of children who witness or know about domestic violence.Many studies have shown that witnessing domestic violence has negative effects on children’s physical development,psychological growth,cognitive behavior,social development and other aspects.Therefore,finding this secret group and providing timely intervention services is related to their healthy growth.The author once participated in the service project of rural "three left-behind" in Shanglin County,Guangxi,and carried out services according to the needs of "three left-behind" people.During the service process,malignant domestic violence happened in the village.As A witness of domestic violence,Little A,A left-behind child,became the object of service for the author.The client witnessed the violence between the parents at the scene and was aware of the violence between the parents.After evaluation,the social worker believed that the client had psychological problems such as emotional anxiety,cognitive distortion and irritability.The author used psychosocial treatment mode to intervene,and the main objectives were as follows: 1.The second is to correct the subject’s distorted cognition and improve his psychological resilience;The third is to help the client master the way to solve negative emotions.Studies have found that witnessing domestic violence has a negative psychological impact on children;The psychosocial and social treatment has advantages in the service of witnessing children with domestic violence;Non-reflective direct intervention techniques are suitable for children witnessing domestic violence;The psychosocial and social treatment model has limitations for large-scale environmental interventions.In the psycho-social treatment mode,there are still some problems such as delayed detection and fuzzy evaluation criteria in the cognitive and psychological problems of children who have witnessed domestic violence.Therefore,the author proposes to strengthen the publicity of the psychosocial intervention of children witnessed by domestic violence,and to develop the complete work techniques of the psychosocial and social treatment model of children witnessed by domestic violence,so as to provide practical materials for the psycho-social treatment model and provide reference for the intervention of children witnessed by domestic violence.
