In order to help senior high school students better deal with the relationship between the present and the future,this research studies the relationship among future orientation,emotional intelligence and career adaptability,so as to cultivate teenagers with mental health,active learning,clear future and strong adaptability.This study carry out questionaire reseach on 359 students in Zaozhuang No.16 middle school through the"Youth Future Orientation Scale","emotional intelligence scale" and "career adaptation strength scale",which learns about their differences in future orientation,emotional intelligence and career adaptability based on gender,place of origin,only child,class cadres and grade,the relevance any variables as well as the mediating effect of emotional intelligence was studied as well with future orientation as the them,control group was carried out on the experimental group,the differences between the experimental group before and after the test.The results are as follows;1.Girls and rural high school students are significantly higher than boys in future thinking,urban high school students and senior one students are significantly higher than senior two and senior three students in future will execution.The emotional intelligence of boys was significantly higher than that of girls.Class cadres are significantly better than non class cadres in using self emotion and evaluating others’ emotion.Male students,class leaders and senior high school students have significant career adaptability.2.Future orientation,emotional intelligence and career adaptability are significantly correlated.3.Emotional intelligence plays a mediating role between future orientation and career adaptability.4.The posttest of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group in future orientation,emotional intelligence and career adaptability.5.Future oriented group counseling can improve students’ emotional intelligence and career adaptability.This study introduces the concept of futurism to senior high school career group counseling,pays attention to the future of students,attaches importance to the improvement of students’ emotional intelligence,and focuses on the cultivation of career adaptability,which provides a new perspective for the development of senior high school career course.
