Under the background of new challenges brought by the information age,new impacts brought by the transformation of the society,the influence of multi-culture,and the accelerated development of higher education,conflicts of social interests have intensified and various unstable factors have increased.As an important part of the society,colleges and universities are generally stable,but campus emergencies occur from time to time,which constantly send out safety warnings to teachers and students as well as bringing certain negative effects to the order and reputation of colleges and universities.Caused by natural,man-made or social environment reasons,college emergencies often suddenly occur inside or places outside of campus closely related to university students,bring negative impacts directly or indirectly to the school insiders and the normal operation of campus,and even spread to the stability of the society,for which managers have to take emergency measures immediately to settle such events.With the characteristics of suddenness,harmfulness and constructiveness,uncertainty and diffuseness,interaction with the network,the university emergency can be divided into the political emergency,public health emergency,natural disaster,public security emergency,management emergency,mental health emergency,network and information security emergency.Its development process has distinct characteristics,according to the university emergency can be divided into three stages: incubation,outbreak and recovery.Ideological and political education is the key of the education work as well as the lifeline to prevent and deal with emergencies in colleges and universities.It is the need to further purify the environment of education and build harmonious campus by dealing with emergencies in colleges and universities.With the theoretical support of principles of Marxist philosophy,crisis management theory and psychological theory,it’s feasible for ideological and political education to intervene in the process of university emergency.Based on the principles of seeking truth,subject and hierarchy,ideological and political education is expected to fully play its educational function,early warning function,counseling function,integration function,coordination function and summary function across the latent period,outbreak period and recovery and reconstruction period of university emergencies.By improving the ideological level,political consciousness,moral quality,legal consciousness and cultural quality of students,solving problems of ideological awareness and value orientation,ideological and political education may reduce the negative impacts of campus emergency and maintain social harmony and stability ultimately.Through questionnaire surveys investigating 500 students from 5 universities in Chengdu,from leaders of students’ issues,counselors,publicity teachers,to teachers of ideological and political theory,and workers of security department of 5 universities in Chengdu,we identified the specific problems of ideological and political education in each stage of dealing with emergencies in colleges: the deficiency of ideological and political education in the latent period of emergencies in universities,which includes the lack of countermeasures sharing of ideological and political education in universities,the failure to give full play to the warning function of ideological and political education,the weakness of emergency prevention in colleges and universities,and the need to make better use of the educational advantage of dormitory etc.In the period of Campus Emergencies,the timeliness of information release in universities should be enhanced,the state of public opinion guidance should be improved,the psychological situation of ordinary students should be accounted,and the cooperation among schools,students,families and society should be promoted.In the reconstruction period of Campus Emergencies,the psychological adjustment of group style affects the calming effect,the combination of positive and negative education is lacked,the follow-up of events are not be continuously followed up,and the strength of summary and reflection should be strengthened.Aiming at the specific problems of ideological and political education in each stage of dealing with Campus Emergencies,the following improvement measures are given: In the latent period of emergencies in colleges and universities,the key points of ideological and political education are to improve the resource sharing platform of ideological and political education,enhance the early warning mechanism of ideological and political education,carry out the prevention work,and give full play to the advantages of dormitory carrier in educating;During the outbreak of Campus Emergencies,the key points of ideological and political education are to improve the information release mechanism,strengthen the guidance of public opinion,carry out comprehensive psychological intervention,and establish a four-party linkage mechanism;During the reconstruction period of Campus Emergencies,the focus of ideological and political education is to carry out targeted psychological adjustment work,conduct positive and negative education through the reward and punishment mechanism,continue to follow up the follow-up situation of emergencies,and pay attention to reflection and summary work.
