At present,the international society is undergoing major changes unseen in a century.The international situation is very complex,international and domestic public opinion hotspots are frequent,international struggles are becoming more intense,and our country is facing obstacles in the Western discourse system.At the same time,in the context of media convergence,the communication pattern has undergone profound changes.As the main position of public opinion shifts to the mobile terminal,the traditional model of public opinion guidance is facing severe challenges.Public opinion guidance is an important task of the party and the country’s news and public opinion work.The mainstream media’s role in guiding public opinion hotspots is crucial.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,Xi Jinping has surveyed the overall work of the party and the country and proposed that propaganda and ideological work should meet the needs of the development of the times.,Focusing on the profound changes in the international situation and the new historical orientation of the country’s development,and putting forward new tasks and requirements for news and public opinion work.In the context of the new media environment and the ever-changing international situation,mainstream media urgently needs to upgrade public opinion guidance.The Global Times has made bold explorations on this and achieved remarkable results.Its public opinion guidance is worth studying.This article analyzes and researches the "Global Times" public opinion hotspot guidance,to seize opportunities for mainstream media to guide public opinion hotspots,enhance mainstream media’s public opinion guidance,expand mainstream media’s right to speak in the current public opinion environment,and enhance mainstream media’s credibility and credibility.Provide reference for issues such as influence,and provide realistic reference for the news industry.The main body of this article can be divided into three parts.The first part is the concept of "Global Times" hotspot guidance of public opinion,that is,take the initiative to speak out in the face of hotspots and seize the opportunity to guide public opinion.Under the background of the Internet era,the Global Times timely disclosed authoritative information,used news comments to express positions,timely set the tone for disputes in public opinion,widely tracked hot topics,actively seized the opportunity to guide public opinion hotspots,and competed for the right to guide the public opinion.The second part is the way the Global Times guides public opinion hotspots,that is,to create an all-media communication system to form a linkage effect."Global Times" responds quickly to public opinion hotspots and achieves a three-dimensional voice on the all-media platform to maximize the aggregation of users;presents the guidance of public opinion hotspots by omni-media means to improve user acceptance and effectively improve public opinion guidance and influence.The third part is the “Global Times” initiative to guide public opinion hotspots,that is,to give play to the advantages of interpersonal communication and build online opinion leaders."Global Times" recognizes the important role of online opinion leaders in the guidance of public opinion hotspots,and has the ability to guide public opinion and the ability to effectively influence others.Therefore,it has continuously focused on building the image of online opinion leaders,highlighting their personal images,and catering to the preferences of the audience.The representative of the "Global Times" online opinion leader is the current "Global Times" editor-in-chief Hu Xijin.
