With the entry of a new learning stage,the number of subject types increased,the learning content deepened,more and more primary and secondary school students have the phenomenon of learning maladaptation,serious grades decline,and even weariness.The measurement of learning adaptability can scientifically evaluate the current learning state of students,so as to give full play to the students’ learning potential and improve the learning effect.The goal of this study is to develop a learning adaptation scale for primary and secondary school students with strong pertinence,consistent with the definition of learning adaptation and comprehensive measurement content.This research mainly includes four aspects:First,comb the concepts,tools and researches related to learning adaptation.This will provide a basis for the questions raised in this study,determine the practical and theoretical meaning of this study,and lay a important basis for the determination of subsequent scale structure and items.Second,preliminarily determine the structure and content of the scale.According to the literature,the existing scales and the results of the inquiry on experts,the learning adaptation scale of elementary and secondary school students is composed of five subscales:learning method,learning attitude,volitional quality,learning environment and stress adaptation,and each subscale has its own sub-dimension.Then write the items to form the first draft of the 100-item scale.Third,the trial and modification of the scale.Through item analysis of 503 initial test sample data,13 items with poor indicators were deleted,exploratory factor analysis was conducted on the remaining items,and 12 items with low or multiple loads were deleted,finally forming a formal scale of 75 items.Fourthly,the test and preliminary application of formal scale.The effective samples for formal measurement were 1814,and various psychometric indicators of the scale were analyzed.The results were as follows:(1)The popularity level of each item was reasonably distributed,and the differentiation degree was ideal.(2)The homogeneity reliability and retest reliability of the scale were good.(3)The results of correlation matrix,CFA and cross-group equivalence test indicate that the scale has good structural validity.(4)Correlation with LAS scale,general population volitionquality scale,adolescent stress adaptability scale and academic performance indicated that this scale had good criteria validity.The preliminary application results of the scale were as follows:(1)The interpretation standard of the norm reference results in Shanghai urban area and the individual result report of the students were developed.(2)The distribution of people at different levels of learning adaptation level was close to the standard normal distribution.(3)The learning adaptation level of boys was lower than that of girls.(4)With the rise of grades,the level of learning adaptation had a downward trend.(5)The higher the father’s degree,the better the students’ learning adaptability in all aspects;The higher the mother’s degree,the better the students’adaptation in terms of learning methods.In general,the psychological indicators of the scale compiled in this study meet the requirements and the scale has good applicability.It is an effective tool to evaluate the learning adaptation level of primary and secondary school students.
