| Under the background of population aging,cultivating elderly volunteers is a vital way to develop elderly human resources.The aging policy includes the cultivation of elderly volunteers,and universities of the third age in Shanghai have carried out practices of cultivating elderly volunteers.While current related researches mainly focus on elderly volunteers’ individual characteristics,seldom on the organizational management.This research aims to explore current situation and measures of volunteer cultivation in university of the third age.Based on the one-year field survey ofShanghai L Elderly University,with the method of literature analysis and field work research,the research is to study the motivation,situation,benefits and problems of elderly volunteer cultivation.With the theory of Productive Aging,research tries toput forward some measures which can provide referencesthe for elderly volunteer cultivation in university of the third age(U3A).It has found that the cultivation motivations society.Shanghai L Elderly are from three aspects,elderly learners,U3 A and the University volunteer has established the elderly volunteer managemental system,designed service projects,and developed volunteer cultivation procedures,with internal "win-win benefits" and external "radiational effects".However,there are still some shortcomings,such as imperfect cultivational management system and procedures.Based on the theory of Productive Aging,suggestions of elderly volunteer cultivation are put forward.Elderly volunteer cultivation relies on cooperation of multi-participants,such as governmental policy guarantees,U3A’s organizational cultivation,elderly learner’s self-cultivation and social support. |
