Research On The Implementation Of Academic Integrity System In Australian Universities

With the frequent occurrence of academic misconduct such as plagiarism,buying and selling,and writing on behalf of others,countries around the world have strengthened and improved the governance of related academic integrity issues and the standardized construction of academic integrity system to varying degrees.Many experts and scholars gradually realize that in order to solve the problem of academic integrity in Colleges and universities,only paying attention to the governance behavior of academic integrity will not achieve fundamental results,and prevention is the key.The research focus of academic integrity in Colleges and universities should be shifted to the implementation of academic integrity education and system construction.China’s Ministry of education has also issued a series of documents to urge colleges and universities to seriously investigate and deal with academic misconduct,establish a scientific and effective academic integrity system in Colleges and universities,and ensure its effective implementation,To create a credible academic research atmosphere for colleges and universities.In recent years,the Australian federal government has made great achievements in the implementation of academic integrity system.Therefore,this paper attempts to start with the development background and context of Australian universities’ academic integrity system,and analyze the efforts of different subjects of Australian federal government and universities in the implementation of Australian universities’ academic integrity system.This paper is divided into four parts:The first chapter mainly combs the development process of the academic integrity system in Australian universities,and then analyzes the factors that affect the development of the academic integrity system,so as to find out from which levels the Australian federal government and universities promote the implementation of the academic integrity system in Australian universities.The second chapter analyzes the measures taken by the Australian federal government to promote the implementation of the academic integrity system in Colleges and universities,including the relevant academic integrity organizations established by the federal government and the relevant legal systems promulgated by the federal government.The third chapter analyzes the measures to promote the implementation of academic integrity system from the perspective of colleges and universities,and makes a case study of Australian colleges and universities from the aspects of code of conduct,processing procedures and educational guidance practice.The fourth chapter is the last part of this paper,which analyzes the characteristics of the implementation of the academic integrity system in Australian universities,and hopes to provide rich theoretical support for China’s academic integrity system,and explore the basic laws and feasible countermeasures of the implementation of the academic integrity system.
