Mind wandering,as an inevitable cognitive phenomenon, occurs from time to time in different tasks and has an impact on the current task.If middle school students have frequent mental wanderings in the classroom learning process,it will be difficult to accurately receive the content taught by the teacher.Effective teaching information is fleeting, and it is difficult for students to receive the required information for a long time.It will lead to the lack of knowledge in some aspects, and the students’ inability to guarantee the effect of listening to the class and absorb the corresponding knowledge in the classroom will lead to a decline in academic performance. At present, the empirical research on the mental migration of middle school students at home and abroad is still in its infancy. The relationship between academic pressure and mental migration of middle school students is still unclear, and in-depth discussion is urgently needed. This study adopts a questionnaire method and uses the "School Stress Scale for Middle School Students","Mental Wandering Frequency Scale","Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale",and "Adolescent Mental Resilience Scale".900 middle school students are selected as the research objects to conduct a survey to investigate middle school students. The relationship between academic pressure and mental mobility,as well as the influencing mechanism of sleep quality and mental flexibility. The results of the research are as follows:(1)There is a significant difference in the mental migration of middle school students in grades.High school students have a higher mental migration frequency than junior high school students;in terms of living environment, students who live on campus are significantly higher than those who do not live on campus;in terms of academic performance, learning The worse the grades, the higher the frequency of mental migration;there are no significant differences in the mental migration of middle school students in different genders, whether they are single children, and family composition.(2)In terms of gender, grade, family composition, living environment, and academic performance, there are significant differences in the academic pressure of middle school students;(3)There are significant differences in sleep quality scores between genders, and girls sleep worse;in terms of grades, more The worse the sleep of the upper grades;in terms of the accommodation environment, the students who live on campus sleep worse than the students who are not on campus.(4)The psychological resilience score shows significant differences in gender, grade, family composition, living environment, and academic performance.(5)Sleep quality plays a mediating role in the relationship between middle school students’ academic pressure and mental migration;(3)Sleep quality and mental flexibility play a chain-like mediation in the relationship between middle school students’ academic pressure and mental migration.
