Case Intervention On The Stress Of Family Caregivers Of Physically Disabled Children

Family care is the main way of care for most children with physical disabilities in their childhood lives.Family caregivers of children with physical disabilities face the responsibility of lifelong care,and face increasing challenges as children grow up.In remote rural areas,with low economic development and limited medical and rehabilitation resources,family caregivers encounter many problems and bear stress from all aspects of life,which requires attention from all walks of life.Therefore,it is extremely important to pay attention to the stress and problem needs of family caregivers of disabled children,and to build a social support network for family caregivers.The research object of this article is family caregivers of children with physical disabilities,and the focus is to relieve stress for family caregivers.Using questionnaires,interviews methods to investigate the stress status of family caregivers of children with physical disabilities in SCPX Township,Henan Province,the data shows that family carers generally have physical,psychological,economic and social pressures.The analysis found that these stress are mainly it comes from the fact that family caregivers has suffered multiple psychological distress for a long time,and the informal support network and the formal support network are not perfect.Through the preliminary data investigation and analysis,the direction of casework intervention has been clarified.Taking a typical family as an example,the author focused on family caregivers’ needs through ZARIT stress measurement and basic questionnaire surveys.Under the guidance of the Advantage perspective and social support theory,the author formulated a service plan,and carried out seven casework interventions to focus on the family caregivers’ needs.The cognition was constructed,so that family caregivers received material and emotional support from family,relatives,and friends,and the economic resources were linked to it,and a brand-new social support network was built for family caregivers.Next,after the author conducted process evaluation and result evaluation,it was found that the intervention of case work relieved all aspects of the family caregivers’ stress.Finally,based on the practical research of this article,combined with the combing of domestic and foreign policies,the author proposes from the aspects of government,community,social work and charitable volunteer services: nursing allowances should be increased,welfare security system should be improved;psychological studios should be established to strengthen mental health training;develop community support projects and build a community support network;enhance the involvement of social work and give full play to the advantages of social work;introduce charitable organizations and volunteer services,and promote the formation of a diverse support network.The author adopts a casework intervention method for the stress problem of family caregivers of physically disabled children.Due to the particularity of the sample,the results obtained through practical work are not universal.However,I still hope that this study can relieve families of children with disabilities.Caregiver stress plays an effective role,and at the same time can provide practical materials and theoretical references for the localization of social work.
