The high school stage is the most critical period in the life of all students.It indicates that the boat of dream sets sail,but it also makes everyone experience the cruel competition.At this stage,the knowledge is more profound and broad,and the study time is long and intense,coupled with the heavy pressure brought by society,family,school and so on.At this time,high school students tend to have some negative emotions,and it is difficult for them to get support from others,and prone to depression.And long-term depression can be a risk to high school students’ mental health.Studies have shown that sleep quality is a predictor of depression,and psychological inflexibility is also strongly associated with individual depression.Due to the serious negative impact of depression on the life and study of high school students,previous studies rarely discussed it from the perspective of perceived stress.Based on the above situation,this study intends to investigate the effect of perceived stress,sleep quality and psychological inflexibility on depression of high school students,so as to reveal the internal mechanism between perceived stress and depression of high school students.The study recruited 1,407 high school students to complete stress perception scale,depression scale,the sleep quality index scale,the acceptance and action questionnaire and the cognitive fusion scale.SPSS 22.0 was used to analyze the data,and the results were as follows:(1)There were significant differences in the scores of perceived stress in majors,but no differences in gender,singleton,place of origin and grade.There were significant differences in the scores of sleep quality in singleton and grade,but no differences in gender,student origin and major.There were significant differences in the scores of psychological inflexibility in gender,singleton,origin,major and grade.There were significant differences in scores of depression in singleton,origin and grade,but no differences in gender and major.(2)Perceived stress was significantly correlated with sleep quality,psychological inflexibility and depression of high school students.Perceived stress was negatively correlated with sleep quality.Sleep quality was negatively correlated with psychological inflexibility and depression.Psychological fossilization was positively correlated with depression.(3)Perceived stress positively predicted depression of high school students.(4)Sleep quality mediated the effect of perceived stress on depression in high school students.(5)Psychological inflexibility mediated the effect of perceived stress on depression in senior high school students.(6)Sleep quality and psychological inflexibility played a chain-mediated role in the relationship between perceived stress and depression of high school students.
