| The problem of depression in middle school students has always been the focus of mental health education,especially since the outbreak of the COVID-19,and the detection rate of depression in middle school students is relatively high,so it is urgently need that to strengthen mental health education and intervention.The obvious manifestations of depression are lack of motivation,decreased interest,lack of pleasure,and avoidance behavior.These performances will affect the normal study and life.The goal of behavioral activation research is to increase the individual’s participation in their own beneficial behaviors,and mental imagery has a realistic simulation function,which can help individuals remember the past,plan the future,guide decisions,simulate or preview future events,and gain advance experience.There have been studies abroad that combined the intervention methods of positive mental imagery to train the depressive behavior activation,and achieved certain results,but the research objects are mainly adults,and the interventions that use more text-picture mode are not widely used.This study aims to explore a new,effective,easy-to-operate,and popular mental health intervention method,the positive mental imagery training of imagery scripting technology affects the depression and behavior activation of depressed individuals in middle school students,and investigate the mechanism of action,The ultimate goal is to transform the research results into practical applications,realize the integration of the positive mental imagery training of imagery script technology into the practice of mental health education,and form a method of mental health education.Therefore,this study consists of three parts:(1)Research 1 used SUIS to conduct initial test and formal test on a total of 1612 Chinese subjects(including adolescents and adults)whose age from13-56 year old,and conduct project analysis,exploration and verification on the initial test data(N=644)Factor analysis,the internal consistency reliability test and the ROC curve analysis of the predictive validity of the officially administered data(N=968).Explore the applicability of SUIS to measure the frequency of Chinese subjects’ spontaneous use of mental imagery and the stability of its structure.(2)The second study adopts 3(intervention group,non-intervention group,activity reminder group)x 3(pre-test,post-test,one-month follow-up test)unequal group control quasi-experiment design.To explore whether the positive mental imagery intervention method of online imagery script is effective for depression and behavior activation of depressed middle school students.There were 36 people in the intervention group(average age 16.44)underwent two weeks of positive imagery intervention;30 people in the non-intervention group(average age 16.03)did not implement any intervention during the experiment,but could voluntarily decide whether to accept the imagery script after all experiments were over;the activity reminder group(average age 16.40)completes tasks through daily activity reminders.The main dependent variable of the study is behavior activation,and the secondary dependent variable is depression.In order to investigate the mechanism of intervention,participants also need to complete a questionnaire on the II,PIT,SUIS,and RRS.(3)Research 3 Under the effective results of research 1 and research 2.The research results will be transformed into practical applications,and the positive mental imagery training of imagery script technology will be integrated into the practice of mental health education,forming a method of mental health education.Taking group psychological counseling and mental health education courses as two main ways to implement mental health education,the imagery script technology is popularized,and the corresponding positive mental imagery group psychological counseling program and mental education curriculum teaching design are proposed.The research mainly draws the following conclusions:(1)SUIS-C reflects a relatively stable and reasonable single-factor structure in the Chinese test,and obtain good reliability,and get a certain predictive value for depression and trait anxiety.(2)The positive mental imagery intervention method of online imagery script technology is effective in improving the depression of middle school students and increasing their behavioral activation level.In this process,the II and SUIS play a complete mediating role,while the SUIS and the PIT,the II and the RRS play a chain mediator role.(3)Imagery scripting technology,as a new,effective,simple and easy-to-operate mental health education method,will assist in realizing the overall goal of mental health education,enriching the forms and diversifying ways of mental health education. |
