Middle school students often face a lot of emotional distress in their study and life.Depression and pain,as one of the main negative emotions experienced by middle school students,have a great impact on all aspects of their growth.Emotion regulation efficacy,as the self-confidence degree of whether an individual can effectively regulate his emotional state,is of great significance to effectively regulate emotion and promote mental health.The study found that depression and pain emotion regulation efficacy,as the specific dimension of emotion regulation efficacy in negative emotion regulation efficacy,has a positive predictive effect on middle school students’ mental health,and can negatively predict middle school students’ depression,anxiety and other psychological problems.Throughout the research at home and abroad,researchers mainly study the role and correlation of the overall emotional regulation efficacy,explore the role of the overall emotional regulation efficacy in individual psychology and behavior,and the relationship between the overall emotional regulation efficacy and mental health,mental health measurement indicators,such as subjective well-being,anxiety and depression,ignoring the different roles of specific emotional regulation efficacy.In terms of intervention research,there is a lack of intervention plan for specific emotional regulation efficacy,and the intervention content deviates from the self-efficacy itself.As a specific type of self-efficacy,the formation and development process of emotional regulation efficacy will also be affected by the four self-efficacy sources of "direct experience","alternative experience","verbal persuasion" and "emotional arousal".To sum up,this study takes depression and pain emotion regulation efficacy as important predictors of mental health,carries out correlation analysis and Research on depression and pain emotion regulation efficacy,and designs a set of intervention scheme for depression and pain emotion regulation efficacy according to the source of self-efficacy.This study mainly includes two parts.The first part mainly investigates the status of depression,pain emotion regulation efficacy and mental health of middle school students,and analyzes the relationship between them,so as to provide an empirical basis for follow-up intervention research.Through the questionnaire survey of 917 junior and senior high school students in a middle school in Nanning,the statistical analysis of the data shows that:(1)44.9% of 917 students have psychological problems;(2)there are significant differences in depression,pain,emotion regulation efficacy and mental health in gender and grade.(3)Depression and pain emotion regulation efficacy were significantly positively correlated with mental health.The second part mainly studies the group counseling intervention of depression and pain emotion regulation efficacy.Forty high school students with low scores of depression and pain emotion regulation efficacy were selected from the students in Study 1 and divided into intervention group and control group.The subjects in the intervention group received group counseling intervention on depression and pain emotion regulation efficacy,and the subjects in the control group did not take any intervention.After group counseling,the subjects in the intervention group were tested again and the data were analyzed and processed.It was found that after the intervention of group counseling on depression and pain emotion regulation efficacy,the depression and pain emotion regulation efficacy and mental health level were improved,and the difference before and after the control group was not significant.Through questionnaire survey and group counseling intervention,this study found that the depression and pain emotion regulation efficacy of middle school students is an effective variable to predict mental health.The group counseling of depression and pain emotion regulation efficacy can improve the depression and pain emotion regulation efficacy and mental health level.It can be considered to design and further improve the group intervention scheme to improve the emotion regulation efficacy of middle school students.
