| The difficulty of employment of retired athletes has been an important problem in the development of sports in China.According to statistics,there are 300,000 physical education teachers in China.On the one hand,there is a shortage of physical education teachers in China.On the other hand,it is difficult to solve the employment problem of a large number of retired athletes every year.To promote the transformation of retired athletes into physical education teachers can not only supply the physical education teachers who have structural shortage,but also develop the high quality resource of retired athletes mobilization.However,the transformation of retired athletes into physical education teachers has not been satisfactory,there are still many constraints.Based on the theories of social role,human capital and personnel-post matching,this paper expounds the inherent consistency between the two roles of retired athletes and physical education teachers.By using the methods of Literature Review,questionnaire survey,interview and Mathematical Statistics,162 retired athletes were investigated and interviewed,from the policy support,the athlete own quality,the social demand three aspects to the retired athlete Transformation Physical Education Teacher’s feasibility and the necessity to carry on the demonstration.The results show that the transformation of sports teachers is an effective way to realize the reemployment of athletes after retirement,to promote the sustainable development of competitive sports,and to strengthen school sports.The feasibility of the demonstration results show that: under the support of policy,the channels for retired athletes to transition to physical education teachers are gradually unblocked,the school needs for retired athletes to continue to increase in physical education teachers,athletes own ideas,quality,spirit,professional ethics,psychological capacity and special skills are conducive to their transition to physical education teachers.The results show that the following restrictive factors exist in the transition of retired athletes to physical education teachers: First,the retired athletes have insufficient cognition to the transition of physical education teachers,which leads to the overestimation of their own ability;The lack of culture and education makes the retired athletes lack of professional knowledge and ability of physical education,and it is difficult to obtain the professional qualification certificate Thirdly,the restriction of employment policy and the singleness of sports skill of athletes make it difficult to adapt to the requirement of school sports.This paper puts forward the following countermeasures in view of the restrictive factors of retired athletes transforming into physical education teachers:(1)making clear the government responsibility,perfecting the policy of retired athletes transforming into physical education teachers;(3)to expand social needs and increase the number of specialized posts for retired athletes;(4)to change ideology and strengthen athletes’ own cultural learning and skill upgrading;and(5)to strengthen multi-party cooperation and work together to promote the successful transformation of retired athletes into physical education teachers. |
