| In the notice issued by the General Office of the Ministry of Education on the issuance of the "Guidelines for Teaching Reform in Sports and Health(Trial)",it is pointed out that the construction of the teaching staff should be strengthened,and outstanding retired athletes should be introduced as needed to enrich the physical education teachers and coaches.Subsequently,in the 2022 revision of the "Sports Law",schools will prioritize hiring outstanding retired athletes who meet relevant conditions to engage in school physical education teaching and training activities.In addition,in relevant policy documents such as the "Opinions on Deepening the Integration of Sports and Education and Promoting the Healthy Development of Teenagers" and the "Management Measures for Parttime Teachers of School Sports and Aesthetic Education",it is also mentioned to promote the transformation of retired athletes into sports teachers.The release of relevant laws and policy documents provides policy and theoretical support for retired athletes to transform into primary and secondary school physical education teachers.It is of great significance to solve the problems of weak physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools,traditional physical education teachers unable to meet the requirements of school physical education in the new era,and the severe employment transformation of retired athletes.So,what problems and difficulties will retired athletes in China face in the process of transforming into primary and secondary school sports teachers? How should the Chinese government address the difficulties faced by retired athletes transitioning to primary and secondary school sports teachers? These are all urgent issues that need to be addressed.Through the methods of literature,investigation,mathematical statistics and logical analysis,this research deeply investigated the current situation of physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools in transition of retired athletes in China,analyzed the problems existing before and after the transformation of physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools of retired athletes in China,and put forward corresponding strategies and suggestions for the existing problems,so as to provide reference and reference for the better promotion of the transformation of physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools of retired athletes in China.The research conclusion is as follows:(1)Basic information on retired athletes and sports teachers: The proportion of male groups in the surveyed retired athletes and sports teachers is greater than that of female groups;The age structure of retired athletes and sports teachers surveyed showed a characteristic of "large in the middle and small in both ends";The overall education level of retired athletes and their sports teachers surveyed is relatively low,with a higher number of retired athletes having college,high school,or lower education levels,and a higher number of athletes’ sports teachers having college education levels;The retired athletes and sports teachers surveyed have high levels of sports skills,including some international level athletes.(2)The practical difficulties faced by retired athletes in China before transitioning to primary and secondary school physical education teachers: the situation of retired athletes holding teacher qualification certificates and coach level certificates is not optimistic,leading to serious limitations on the qualifications of transitioning primary and secondary school physical education teachers;The theoretical and cultural knowledge of retired athletes in China is weak,lacking the necessary theoretical and cultural knowledge for the transformation of primary and secondary school physical education teachers;The practical experience of retired athletes in China tends to be more focused on team leading training,and there is a lack of relevant practical experience in physical education teaching and training in schools,resulting in insufficient practical experience;The channels for retired athletes in China to transform into physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools are not yet smooth.(3)The practical difficulties faced by retired athletes in China after transitioning to primary and secondary school physical education teachers include insufficient professional abilities to meet the needs of school physical education,and an incomplete system of onboarding education and post employment training;The initiative of promoting professional titles is not strong,and there is an imbalance phenomenon in the low level of professional titles;The adaptability of retired athletes to sports teaching positions needs to be improved after transitioning to primary and secondary school sports teachers;The turnover of retired athletes after transitioning to primary and secondary school physical education teachers is severe.(4)The Solution to the Difficulty of Transforming Chinese Retired Athletes into Primary and Secondary School Physical Education Teachers in Pre practice: improving the professional qualifications and admission standards for retired athletes to transform into primary and secondary school physical education teachers;Optimize the training mode and system of competitive sports talents,and strengthen the continuing education of retired athletes;Open up the coupling channels between the sports team and the school,and set up athlete internship positions;Smooth the green channel for retired athletes to transform into primary and secondary school sports teachers.(5)The Solution to the Practical Dilemma of Retired Athletes in China after Transforming into Primary and Secondary School Physical Education Teachers: fully leverage the advantages of athletes’ physical education teachers and improve their professional abilities;Strengthen the vocational education of sports teachers for athletes and improve the training system;Improve the training system in terms of training frequency,content,form,and other aspects of vocational education;Optimize the professional title evaluation system based on the characteristics of sports teachers for athletes;Improve the adaptability of retired athletes after transformation;Firmly uphold the ideals and beliefs of athletes and sports teachers,and reduce turnover rates... |
