The Influence Of Family Function On Poor Children’s Behavior Problems:The Chain Mediating Effect Of Peer Relationship And Children’s Hope

Research objective: this study focused on the poor children group,based on the previous research,conducted in-depth analysis on the influencing factors of children’s behavior problems,explored the relationship among family function,peer relationship,children’s hope and behavior problems,and attempted to build a chain mediation model.The research object and methods: In this study,Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire(SDQ)、 Family Adaptation,Partnership,Growth,Affection and Resolve(APGAR)Scale、children’s hope(CHS)scale、Peer relationship scale were used to select 901 poor children in five regions of Hunan Province as research objects.Among them,438 male students(48.6%)and 463 female students(51.4%),The general characteristics and influencing factors of poor children’s behavior problems were investigated,and the relationships among family function,peer relationship,children’s sense of hope and behavior problems were discussed.SPSS24.0was used for statistical analysis of the data,the influence and mechanism of family function,peer relationship and children’s hope on the behavior of poor children were further analyzed.(1)The behavioral problems and family functions of poor children have significant differences in school age,The behavioral problems of middle school students were significantly higher than that of primary school students,and the family functions of primary school students were significantly higher than that of middle school students.There are significant gender differences in behavior problems of middle school students,and the behavior problems of middle school boys are significantly higher than that of girls;There are significant gender differences between the peer relationship of middle school students and children’s hope.The peer relationship of girls is apparently higher than that of boys,and the children’s hope of boys is significantly higher than that of girls.(2)Family function,peer relationship and children’s hope were significantly correlated with behavioral problems in poor children,and negatively predicted behavioral problems;Family function was positively correlated with peer relationship and children’s hope,and positively predicted peer relationship and children’s behavioral problems;Peer relationship is related to children’s hope and positively predicts children’s hope.(3)Peer relationship and children’s hope play a chain mediating role in family function and poor children’s behavior problems.Countermeasures and Suggestions:family function represents the overall function of the family system and is a direct factor affecting the behavioral problems of poor children,good peer relationships and children’s hope can be protective factors for poor children.We should fully pay attention to the mental health of poor children and provide technical support for the formation of good family functions for poor children.We should actively guide poor children to establish good peer relationships,attach importance to cultivating children’s hope,and work together with the government,family and school to promote their positive adaptation and healthy development.
