This study aims to test of intention self regulation among adolescents to evaluate the reliability, validity, and assess the measurement invariance across gender and time of the intention self regulation Questionnaires to explore the application of the SOC in the sample of Chinese adolescents, and find the correlations among, life satisfaction, gratitude, depression and risky behaviors, and put forward effective suggestions on how to improve adolescents’ intentional self-regulation ability. In this study,In this study,2568 adolescents aged 11-18(13.10 ± 0.471)were selected. The follow-up assessment was conducted 6 months after the time of the first.Questionnaires of SOC was administered to 590 adolescents in the total sample for measuring their intention self-regulation levels. The adolescents who participated in the evaluation completed the SOC scale,Brief Multimensional Students’ Life Satisfaction Scale,(BMSLSS),Gratitude Questionnaire-5(GQ-5),Center for Emotional Studies Depression Scale,(CES-D)and Risky Behaviors Questionnaire-Adolescents(RBQ-A).Based on this basis, descriptive statistics, equivalence test, independent sample t test and correlation analysis are used to analyze the data, and the following conclusions are drawn:(1)SOC Questionnaire appears to be a reliability and validity,as well as measurement equivalent across gender and time among Chinese adolescents;it could be applied to the comparative study of cross gender and cross time;(2)high-intention self regulation adolescents scores lower on depression and risk behaviors and higher on life satisfaction and optimism;(3)intention self regulation appears to be positively correlated with life satisfaction and optimism, gratitude, negatively correlated with depression and risk behaviors. |
