Influencing Factors Of Compassion Fatigue Among Social Workers

Compassion fatigue is a common phenomenon in today’s helping groups.It refers to the fact that under the premise of overloading the helping person with compassion energy,the helping person feels the same traumatic experience and painful emotions as the recipient,thus depleting the recipient’s ability to empathize.Compassion depletion problems can reduce their mental health,reduce their productivity at work,and even have a negative impact on their daily lives.Research on the factors affecting empathy depletion of social workers can enrich the population in the study of empathy depletion,relieve the negative emotions and pressure of social workers,ensure their work efficiency and improve their service quality.This research mainly by the method of questionnaire to collect data collected for analysis of variance,correlation analysis and linear regression analysis,from the general demographic,psychological,and social workers work with organization environment from three aspects,based on the theory of attribution theory,to analysis the factors influencing social workers empathy depletion,the main research conclusions are as follows: social work degree of empathy depletion,mild and severe empathy depletion of social work is less,more moderate empathy depletion of social workers;There were significant differences in the dimensions of compassion fatigue and secondary trauma among social workers of different ages,significant differences in the dimensions of compassion satisfaction among social workers of different working years,and significant differences in the dimensions of compassion fatigue and three dimensions among social workers of different professional backgrounds.compassion satisfaction and self-esteem had a significant negative impact on the compassion depletion of social workers,and the service point environment,employer’s support for social workers and growth space had a significant negative impact on the compassion depletion of social workers.
