Study On The Organization Mode Of Sports Activities Of University And College Staff In The New Era

The rapid development and quality requirements of colleges and universities in the new era have put forward clear and higher requirements for the abilities and quality of college staff.College staff,especially teachers’ groups,are the mainstays of China’s scientific research and education work,and their health status is directly related to the implementation of China’s "Education Power" strategy.College teachers are faced with the double pressure of teaching and scientific research challenges.The increase of workload,the decrease of leisure time and the lack of exercise time have an adverse effect on the physical health of college teachers.The role of physical education in improving physical health level has been proved in the academic and practical level.However,in the changing social environment,it is worth thinking about how to play the role of the relevant structure and organization of colleges and universities in the process of physical activity,and how to effectively improve the physical health level of college staff.This research conducted a systematic investigation and analysis on the sportseventsorganized for the teachersand administratorsin eight universities in Xiamen using the way of literature review,questionnaire survey,expert interviews and mathematical statistics analysis.Six problems of the sports events mode for teachers and administrators in universities were revealed including frozen event management system,less attention of the leadership team,single event mode,lack of professional activity organizer,insufficient infrastructure and without referencerules for event organizer which result to much lower satisfaction of teachersand administrators.Based on the investigation in 8 universities in Xiamen,four conclusions could be found:1.The owner ofuniversity sports has been more and more diversified.The athletic association and interest groups have gradually become the owner of this kinds of evens.The owners of sports events have become more and more pluralistic and visualized.2.Therecognition of universities’ leadership team is one of the most important factors to insure the implementation of sports events for teachers and administrators.The positive correlation between the sports event implementation and the recognition of university leadership teams means the infrastructure resource only could be ensured by raising the leadership team’s attention and recognition.3.The type of universitysports events in Xiamen is single.The only channel is the direct strait line leading and management by the university labor union organization.4.The external resource has rarely been used in organizing the university sports events in Xiamen.The organizers of university sports events in Xiamen seldom make use of the external resource and involve in local culture.
