The continuous deepening of population aging and the enhancement of the economic ability of the elderly have made the consumption of the elderly an important economic growth point, and the consumption of the elderly has become a hot topic in academic research. However, relevant research pays more attention to the impact of elderly consumption on economic and social development. From the perspective of elderly individuals, there is a lack of research focusing on the elderly’s own consumption feelings and risks.Older women have multiple characteristics such as high frequency of consumption and emotional consumption, which make them face greater consumption risks. This research uses elderly women’s consumption as a case study, and uses the professional perspective of social work to intervene in elderly women’s perceptions of consumption risk by using casework methods to help clients analyze consumer risk perceptions and guide them to make changes on their own to improve risk prevention capabilities.Fully empower service targets, and ultimately achieve the goal of improving consumer risk awareness. The study found that the social work philosophy of accepting respect, sincere trust, and maintaining self-determination,and appropriate and diverse methods and techniques, can effectively respond to elderly women’s consumer risk perception problems, eliminate their blind spots and misunderstandings in consumer risk perception, and improve Ability to prevent consumption risks, and establish rational and scientific consumer psychology and habits. At the end of the study, through the sorting and analysis of the actual process of the case, the experience and insufficiency of case work in the cognition of elderly consumption risks were summarized and reflected,in order to expand the focus of the elderly social work and accumulate the practical experience of the elderly case work.
