The application of animation materials in second language teaching is not a new invention,nor is it a new topic to study the effects of animation materials in language teaching.However,we found that the animation materials mentioned in previous studies are not specially made for language teaching,so both the production of specialized animation materials and the research on teaching animation materials are new fields worth exploring.The so-called animation materials in this paper refer to the animation materials specially created by an online Chinese teaching platform for ethnic Chinese young children.It takes the adventure story as the main line,adopts the form of adventure,the story is rich,interactive.Through practical application in teaching,we find that these animation materials were welcomed and loved by learners.Ethnic Chinese young children not only have a high interest in learning Chinese in class,but also are willing to take the initiative to use the surrounding Chinese environment to contact Chinese after class.It is helpful to improve the Chinese listening ability of ethnic Chinese young children,especially for the recognition of Chinese pronunciation,understanding of word meaning and sentence meaning.Also can better adapt to the communication requirements,help students to improve the accuracy of pronunciation,more effective accumulation of vocabulary,improve the coherence of expression.In a word,these animation materials on the whole inspire ethnic Chinese young children’s understanding of Chinese and promote their language development.Of course,there are also many problems in the application of the above animation materials:limited broadcasting methods,affecting the efficiency of the classroom;difficult and easy connection is not natural,students learn with difficulty;uncontrollable factors,the classroom easily out of control.Therefore,the platform needs to improve the technical support ability,pay attention to the feedback of teaching practice,adjust the content of animation materials in time,optimize the quality of after-class service,and teachers need to improve the flexibility of teaching,and further enhance the ability to respond to changes.
