| With the increasingly fierce global competition and the global labor market’s demand for international talents,cultivating talents with global competitiveness for the globalized world has become an important direction for the development of education in various countries and regions around the world.Cross-border exchange learning has attracted more and more students and universities,as it is an important way for university students to obtain high-quality international education,cultivate their own professional and global competence,as well as enhance cross-cultural understanding.The motivation of cross-border exchange is an important reason for the willingness and behavior of cross-border exchange students to participate in cross-border exchange,and it is also an important factor for them to keep a good state and actively respond to cross-cultural learning in the process of cross-border exchange learning.Conducting the research on learning motivation of cross-border exchange students will not only help universities to carry out cross-border exchange activities,but also help improve the quality of cross-border exchange students’ learning.It is of great practical significance.There are seven chapters in this research.First of all,it analyzes the relevant literature about cross-border mobility and learning motivation of university students,clarifies the core concepts and theoretical basis,and builds the analysis framework of the research.Secondly,according to the research purpose,it explains the design and implementation of empirical research.Next,the research probes into the main factors that affect the learning motivation of cross-border exchange students through quantitative analysis.And then,through qualitative research,the main factors are explored,and the mechanism model that forms the learning motivation of cross-border exchange students is also constructed.Finally,combining the performance and influencing factors of the cross-border exchange students’ learning motivation,relevant strategies and suggestions are put forward to stimulate and maintain students’ cross-border learning motivation.According to the results of empirical research,it is found that learning motivation of cross-border exchange students in Chinese universities is at the upper-middle level,and intrinsic motivation is stronger than extrinsic motivation.It shows that university students have strong motivation to pursue self-development and satisfy their cross-border learning interests,and are positive in attitude,subjective norm and perceived behavior control.According to the results of the difference analysis,there are differences in the learning motivation of cross-border exchange students in personal characteristics and the features of exchange program.According to qualitative analysis,the features of cross-border exchange programs,the support of domestic university,personal abilities and needs,the influence of important others,and the cross-border exchange learning environment are the five main factors that affect the learning motivation of cross-border exchange students.These five factors affect the attitudes,subjective norms and perceived behavior control of cross-border exchange students,and then affect their motivation for cross-border exchange learning,and ultimately affect students’ cross-border exchange learning behaviors and related specific behaviors.In order to stimulate and maintain the learning motivation of cross-border exchange students,promote the cross-border mobility of university students and achieve effective results,thus promoting the international development of higher education,this research suggests that students should fully understand the value of cross-border exchange learning,clarify the goals of cross-border learning and actively put them into action.At the same time,students’ families should attach importance to the significance of cross-border exchange learning for students’ development and actively provide emotional support for students.Universities should keep close cooperation with other countries or regions,optimize the development and design of cross-border exchange program,and promote the continuous improvement of education quality,service system and management mechanism of cross-border exchange program,and provide comprehensive support for cross-border exchanges and learning of university students. |
