The Relationship Between Career Adaptability And Academic Performance Of High School Students:the Mediating Role Of Future Time Perspective And Self-efficacy |  | Posted on:2022-05-29 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis |  | Country:China | Candidate:L X Yan | Full Text:PDF |  | GTID:2507306530486254 | Subject:Mental health education |  | Abstract/Summary: |  PDF Full Text Request |  | Academic performance is an important reference basis for comprehensive quality evaluation of high school students,and also an important result variable in the education and teaching process.It not only reflects the teaching management level of teaching,but also reflects the learning level of students,so it has received widespread attention from the society.Career adaptability is a social psychological resource for individuals to adjust in the face of career development tasks and career role changes.In the face of career shock events,career adaptability is the key ability to ensure that individuals respond effectively.Studies have found that career adaptability can positively predict the academic performance of high school students,but the specific mechanism of action is still unclear.Career adaptability affects adolescents’ future time perspective and self-efficacy,and future time perspective and self-efficacy are important factors affecting academic performance.Career adaptability may affect academic performance through the mediating effect of future time perspective and self-efficacy.This research aims to explore the relationship among the four variables of career adaptability,future time perspective,self-efficacy and academic performance,and reveal the role of students’ future time perspective and self-efficacy in the relationship between career adaptability and academic performance.In this study,cluster sampling was used to select the research objects,and the career adaptability,future time outlook and self-efficacy of 390 high school students were measured,and the mediation effect of the data was analyzed.The main research results are as follows:(1)There is a significant positive correlation between high school students’ career adaptability,future time perspective,self-efficacy and academic performance.(2)The future time perspective plays a part of the mediating role between career adaptability and academic performance.(3)Self-efficacy plays a part of mediating role between career adaptability and academic performance.(4)There is a chain-like mediating effect between career adaptability → future time perspective → self-efficacy → academic performance.The above results suggest that career resilience can improve academic performance by improving high school students’ future time perspective and self-efficacy.According to this research,the following suggestions are put forward:educators should adapt to the reforms and changes of the education policy in the new era,carry out career education through various channels,and improve students’ career adaptability,so as to promote the improvement and overall development of their academic performance.Pay attention to the future view of time and self-efficacy,strengthen the skills and methods of time management and self-efficacy training,and promote the career development of students in multiple ways. |  | Keywords/Search Tags: | High school students, Career adaptability, Future time perspective, Self-efficacy, Academic performance |   PDF Full Text Request |  Related items  |
