Research On The Value Creation And Distribution Of Digital Labor

With the rapid development of information technology and digital media technology,the field of capital operation has gradually expanded to the virtual space of the Internet,and digitization and networking have become an important foundation for the vigorous development of the digital economy.The labor form in the digital information age has also been upgraded from the traditional labor form to the digital labor form,and the labor form has begun to diversify,from the material production labor as the main body to non-material production labor as the main form.Countless digital workers participate in the Internet platform to fulfill their work and life needs,communication and sharing needs with others,entertainment experience and other needs.These non-material needs have spawned more digital forms of labor.Internet users’ economic activities and non-economic activities are based on digital and networked platforms,and the huge Internet user base has become the most favorable condition for the platform to grow and develop.This paper covers 6 chapters,chapter 1 introduces the research background and significance,research framework and methods,as well as innovation,research shortcomings and research prospects.Chapter 2 reviews the three perspectives of digital labor research through combing the literature at home and abroad,and redefines the concept and research perspective of digital labor,as well as the theoretical basis involved in this paper.Chapter 3 analyzes the value creation process of digital labor according to its nature,form and characteristics.The existence of digital labor depends on the platform,and the types of platforms are different.Based on the division of different platform types in Nick Srnisek’s Platform Capitalism,this paper analyzes how digital workers create value through the Internet platform and the relationship between the relevant subjects of value creation.And through case study and empirical analysis of the value creation process of digital labor to further explain.Chapter 4 introduces the distribution system of value created by digital labor,the current situation of distribution and the irrationality of the existing distribution method.Chapter 5 expounds the economic and social problems caused by the process of value creation and distribution according to the analysis of the first two chapters.Chapter 6,as the conclusion part,puts forward some policy suggestions according to the existing problems and draws conclusions.Digital labor breaks the limits of time,space,and work and play,allowing people to work and live in a more convenient and efficient way.However,it appears that workers use the Internet platform on a voluntary and equal basis to carry out various activities,when in fact the capitalists on the platform can extract the residual value created by digital labor without compensation.Therefore,analyzing the value creation and distribution of digital labor and clarifying the essence of exploitation behind it is of great theoretical and practical significance to reveal the economic reality and the innovative development of Marx’s theory.
