Body image annoyance is a kind of negative emotional experience caused by the dissatisfaction between body characteristics such as body shape and appearance and ideal body image.In the materialized environment,junior high school students in the critical period of self-concept development are more likely to produce self-objectification phenomenon,that is,they pay more attention to their appearance rather than internal ability.Junior high school students with high level of self-objectification will show more body monitoring,physical shame,anxiety,anorexia and other behaviors,which will easily lead to body image trouble.Therefore,in order to effectively reduce junior high school students’ body image troubles and promote the development of junior high school students’ mental health.This study investigates the current situation and relationship between selfobjectification and body image annoyance of junior high school students,and focuses on the influence of self-objectification on body image annoyance of junior high school students by means of point detection experimental paradigm.This study takes junior high school students as the research object,using questionnaire survey and experimental method to explore.Study 1 investigated the current situation and relationship between self-objectification and body image annoyance of junior middle school students.Using body image annoyance questionnaire and self-objectification questionnaire as research tools,730 junior middle school students from two middle schools in two cities of Hainan Province were randomly selected as research objects.661 valid questionnaires were collected,including 366 males and 295 females.Study 2 investigated the impact of self-objectification on body image annoyance.From the results of the questionnaire survey,67 students with different levels of self-objectification were selected as experimental subjects,including 31 boys and 36 girls.The results are as follows:(1)The detection rate of junior high school students was 18.3%.Among them,the detection rate of body trouble dimension was 42.4%;the detection rate of appearance trouble dimension was 26.3%;the detection rate of Gender Trouble dimension was 17.4%;the detection rate of sexual organ trouble dimension was 4.5%.(2)There are significant differences in gender,grade,grade and number of friends.It is mainly manifested in: there are gender differences in body image annoyance.In the dimension of body image annoyance,gender annoyance,appearance annoyance and overall image annoyance,the annoyance level of female students is significantly higher than that of male students,but on the contrary in the dimension of sexual organ annoyance;there are grade differences in body image annoyance.In the dimension of sexual organ annoyance,the annoyance level of junior one student is significantly higher than that of other grades There are significant differences in the rank of body image annoyance.In the dimension of body image annoyance,the dimension of sexual organ annoyance,the dimension of appearance annoyance and the overall image annoyance,the level of body image annoyance of students with very low scores is significantly higher than that of students with excellent scores and good scores;body image annoyance has significant differences in the number of friends In the dimension of gender annoyance,appearance annoyance and general image annoyance,the annoyance level of students with more friends was significantly lower than that of students with less friends and less friends.(3)There are gender differences in self objectification of junior high school students,and the level of self-objectification of girls is significantly higher than that of boys.(4)The higher the level of self-objectification,the higher the level of body image annoyance.It shows that the level of self-objectification of junior high school students can positively predict body image annoyance.(5)Junior high school students with high level of self-objectification tend to pay attention to positive body images.According to the research results,there are the following suggestions: first,school education should guide junior high school students to correctly understand the body image and carry out targeted intervention;second,enhance the professionalism of body image annoyance intervention and reduce the negative impact of self-objectification on body image annoyance;finally,cooperate with the three forces of students,family education and social background to build the mental health education model of junior high school students’ body image annoyance Integrated system.
