Junior high school is important to teenagers’ physical and mental development.There are many psychological problems in junior high school students,among which social anxiety is an important one.This research uses the music therapy and group counseling form to intervene the junior high school testee,so that they can achieve physical and mental relaxation in activities,stimulate inner feelings,dare to express themselves,and alleviate social anxiety.There are two parts in this study.The first one is the survey on the current situation,using the "children’s social anxiety scale"(SASC)to investigate 302 junior high school students by questionnaire to analyze the junior high school students’ social anxiety level.The second part is the intervention study,according to the characteristics of social anxiety of junior high school graduates,combined with music therapy technology,to develop the corresponding music group counseling program.In this study,we selected 20 high socialanxiety-level students as subjects,and divided them into experimental group and control group randomly.Using the pre and post test design,the experimental group members were given 8 times of music group counseling and unit records.SPSS was used for data analysis,and the total feedback form and other materials were used as supplement to evaluate the intervention effect.The results show that:1.The social anxiety of junior high school students is at a high level.2.There are gender differences in the total score of social anxiety and fear of negative evaluation among junior three students,and the score of female students is significantly higher than that of male students.There was no gender difference in social avoidance and distress..3.There is no significant correlation between the level and dimensions of social anxiety of junior middle school students and family location,only child or not,class cadre or not.4.There is no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in the total score and each dimension score of social anxiety level before the intervention.After the intervention,the total score and each dimension score of the experimental group are significantly lower than those of the control group;after the intervention,the experimental group students’ social anxiety level is significantly decreased;the experimental results show that music group counseling intervention can effectively improve the situation of junior high school students’ social anxiety.
