Teachers’ job burnout affects teachers’ work and life,which has become an urgent problem to be solved in the process of teachers’ education.With the in-depth study of teachers’ job burnout by scholars at home and abroad,the study of the factors causing teachers’ job burnout has gradually shifted from external factors to internal factors such as teachers’ cognition and emotion.The goal orientation of teachers’ achievement is an internal factor at the beginning of teachers’ career selection,which is accompanied by the continuous existence of teachers’ work.It can be said that it is a key component of individual factors of teachers.Based on previous research results and achievement goal orientation theory,this paper assumes that teacher achievement goal orientation can significantly predict teacher job burnout.This research adopts the empirical research paradigm,takes the achievement goal orientation theory as the theoretical basis,takes the primary and secondary school teachers of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps as the research object,makes a questionnaire survey with Teachers’ Teaching Achievement Goal Orientation Scale and Teachers’ Job Burnout Scale,obtains 6057 teachers’ valid questionnaires,and uses SPSS23.0 to analyze and process the data,so as to explore the current situation and the relationship between the achievement goal orientation and teachers’ job burnout level of primary and secondary school teachers of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.The main conclusions are as follows:Teachers in primary and secondary schools hold a positive achievement goal orientation,with "mastering" goal orientation,"ability approaching goal orientation and" relationship"goal orientation as the main achievement goal orientation,while" work avoidance "goal orientation and" ability avoidance "goal orientation are at a low level.The overall level of job burnout of primary and secondary school teachers is not high.The performance of the three dimensions is characterized by "one high and two low",which is mainly manifested in the dimension of emotional exhaustion,but not obvious in the dimension of lack of personal sense of accomplishment and dehumanization.The achievement goal orientation and job burnout level of primary and secondary school teachers are different in several demographic variables,such as gender,age,teaching age,professional title,teaching period,school location,marital status,parents and final education.Teachers’ different achievement goal orientations can predict teachers’ job burnout in different directions and in different degrees.The higher teachers’ perception of teachers’ "mastery","ability approaching" and "relationship" goal orientation,the lower the level of job burnout,and the higher teachers’ perception of "ability avoidance" and "work avoidance" goal orientation,the higher the level of job burnout.
