In this study,865 questionnaires were sent out to teachers of public kindergartens in a city,and 772 valid questionnaires were collected,including 194 teachers on the staff and 578 teachers not on the staff.The results show that: the overall professional identity of the teachers in public kindergartens in a city is above the middle level,and the professional identity of the teachers in public kindergartens is higher than that of the teachers in non public kindergartens.There are significant differences in the dimensions of professional goals and emotions,but there are no significant differences in the dimensions of competence,continuous commitment,willingness to invest and interpersonal support.Whether they are preschool education professional background or not is the key factor affecting the professional identity of teachers in public kindergartens.The length of teaching affects the level of competency dimension,while other factors have no significant effect on professional identity.This paper puts forward three countermeasures.Social level: change the overall career situation,strengthen pre service hierarchical training and post service hierarchical training.Kindergarten level: pay attention to the construction of teaching staff,ensure the quality of teachers,learn to update the concept of running the kindergarten,understand teachers’ professional identity,pay attention to induction and on-the-job training,enhance teachers’ professional identity,increase teachers’ positive emotional experience and improve their sense of happiness.On the individual level,the teachers need to correctly deal with job burnout,improve the level of continuous commitment,play a leading role in the profession,highlight the professional value of kindergarten teachers,establish the goal of lifelong learning,and persist in improving the ability and quality.The non working teachers need to clarify their career goals,improve their competence,give back interpersonal support,improve their willingness to invest,maintain positive emotions,and strengthen their continuous commitment.
