Abstract/Summary:
Depression has gradually become an important factor threatening the mental health of adolescents.Solving depression in adolescents is one of the focuses of psychological crisis intervention.Family risk is a threatening factor for the occurrence of depression in adolescents. As a positive cognitive resource, sense of coherence plays a role in protecting and promoting the development of adolescents’ mental health.By constructing a family cumulative risk model, this study explored the complex relationship between family cumulative risk and depression, and examined the specific role of sense of coherence between the two.Based on the results of relationship research,a group counseling program with the theme of sense of coherence was designed to explore the intervention effect of the program on adolescent depression.Study 1 used the "Family Cumulative Risk Questionnaire","Depression Scale for Epidemiological Research Center" and "Sense of Coherence-13" to conduct a questionnaire survey on 932 high school students in a high school in Chengdu to explore the relationship between family cumulative risk and depression, test the mediating role of psychological coherence, and expect to enrich theoretical research on the mechanism of depression in adolescents.Study 2 was based on Study 1.20 subjects were screened from Study 1 and divided into experimental group and control group.10 high school students in the experimental group were given group intervention for a total of 6 times. To analyze and discuss the intervention effect of group counseling on depression among senior high school students, and provide empirical evidence and program reference for adolescent psychological crisis intervention. The results are as follows:(1)In this study, family resources are the core risk factors for depression in high school students, and both the nature and quantity of risk factors significantly negatively predict the level of depression in high school students. The total detection rate of depression in senior high school students was 32.52%,and the level of Sense of Coherence was generally low.(2)There were no significant differences in gender and grade in depression and psychological coherence among senior high school students.High school sophomores have higher risk scores for family atmosphere than high school freshmen, and there were no demographic differences in other family risks.(3)High school students’ family resource risk, family atmosphere risk, depression and sense of coherence were all pairwise correlated.family risk factors significantly positively predicted depression, and significantly negatively predicted sense of coherence.(4)Sense of Coherence plays a partial mediating role between family cumulative risk and depression of senior high school students.(5)The group counseling program with the theme of sense of coherence can improve the level of sense of coherence and reduce their depression level.
