Research On Social Support For Pneumoconiosis Migrant Workers ——Take S Town In Anhui Province As An Example

With the continuous development of economy,the development trend of occupational diseases is becoming more and more serious.The number of pneumoconiosis patients is the largest,among the occupational disease patients in China,and the majority of pneumoconiosis patients are migrant workers.Pneumoconiosis is one type of occupational disease without medical results.Pneumoconiosis migrant workers are suffering from physical pain and bearing the mental pressure far exceeding their ability after being ill,changing from the pillar of the family to the burden of the family.The purpose of this research is to understand the situation of migrant workers with pneumoconiosis,analyze the status quo of their social support and discover the existing problems.For their problems we have found,to put forward feasible suggestions and build a more complete social support system for them.This study takes migrant workers with pneumoconiosis as the research object,based on the theory of social support,and adopts qualitative research methods to interview 10 migrant workers with pneumoconiosis in S Town,Anhui Province to obtain first-hand data.The interview included basic personal information,physical state and the social support have obtained about migrant workers with pneumoconiosis.Based on the existing literature,this paper sorted out the interview data,divided it into formal social support and informal social support from the sources of social support,and analyzed it within this framework.The study found that the formal social support for migrant workers with pneumoconiosis mainly came from the government,communities and social organizations.And they mainly provided tool support for them.Informal social support mainly came from family,relatives and friends and mainly provides emotional support.There are still some problems in the social support of migrant workers with pneumoconiosis.For example,from the perspective of formal social support,the government support content is uneven and the intensity is not enough;community support resources are limited and services are single;social organizations have a small support range and limited services.From the perspective of informal social support,the tool support of family members is insufficient;the support from friends and relatives is fluctuant.Finally,this article attempts to expand the propaganda of pneumoconiosis,standardize the workplace,improve the identification of occupational diseases,strengthen the assistance and protection of pneumoconiosis migrant workers,promote the intervention of professional social work,and improve the informal support network to provide targeted suggestions.
