| Nowadays, students learn how to learn and paying attention to the cultivation of students’ self-learning ability have become research hotspots in the field of education. The new curriculum standard advocates“students as the main body” and emphasizes the importance of cultivating students’ independent learning ability in basic curriculum teaching.Project-based learning mode is a learning mode with project as the core, student as the main body and combined with teacher’s guidance, which constructs an education method of students’ active exploration and independent innovation. And it coincides with the cultivation of students’ independent learning ability. This research, combined with the new Chemistry curriculum standard and based on high school Chemistry compulsory knowledge, designs project cases for preparatory normal students and selects four project themes adapted to the high school Chemistry curriculum of preparatory normal students for practical research. In the research, the self-learning ability of preparatory normal student in Chemistry is divided into three ability dimensions, namely resource management ability, metacognitive ability, and migration ability.Through pre-project and post-project questionnaires,I can evaluate students’ self-learning ability in Chemistry from the three ability dimensions,in addition, through the comparative analysis of the Chemistry scores of the experimental class and the control class before and after the project-based learning mode, and then examine the effect of project-based learning.Three findings come out in this research.First, the three dimensions of self-learning ability of preparatory normal student in the experimental class before and after the project-based learning mode experiment are significantly different, which shows that the project-based learning mode has a positive impact on the self-learning ability of the preparatory normal students in Chemistry.Second, there is no significant difference in the self-learning ability in Chemistry between male and female students in the experimental class before and after the project-based learning mode experiment. In three dimensions, male students have greater improvement in resource management ability and migration ability after the project-based learning model, and female students have greater improvement in metacognitive ability.Third, preparatory normal students of different academic levels in the experimental class have improved in a certain degree in three dimensions.Among them, middle academic level students and low academic level students have improved significantly in the dimensions of metacognitive ability, while high academic level students have improved significantly in the dimensions of resource management and migration abilities.According to the results of the research,I put forward some suggestions on the project-based learning mode teaching and the cultivation of self-learning ability of preparatory normal students for first-line teacher’s reference. |
