| Objective: To explore the influence and effect of the intervention of behavioral contract therapy on junior school students in high game engagement.Methods: In case study,the internet game addiction scale for teenagers was used to measure internet game over-indulgence level in junior first grader in Changsha.The subjects with total score between 20 and 30 are “internet game wallow” and the subjects with total scores more than or equal to 30 are “internet game addiction”.It showed 2 of internet game wallows and 1 of internet game addiction.2 internet game wallows were chosen to as intervention objectives.It adopted the Single-subject research of A-B baseline experiment design which was divided into three stages of baseline(1-6 days),intervention(7-30 days)and follow-up(31 to36 days)totally four week intervention combined the methods of observation,interview,questionnaire and insider reports.Results: The quantitative results showed the reduction rates of parent rating of case D and case Y were respectively 30% and 29% which were both valid in terms of online game addiction rating.The self-score reduction rates of case D and case Y were respectively 24% and 17% which were close to the effective level.According to SCL-90 score,Case D,whose reduction rate of total score is 25% and three factor score including Obsession,interpersonal sensitivity and hostility are respectively 38%,27%and 29%,all of which are effective.The reduction rate for paranoia factor was 23%,close to the effective level,but the reduction rate for depression factor was 11%.Case Y,whose reduction rate of total score was 30% as well as two factor score of interpersonal sensitivity and hostility were respectively 46% and 37%,all of which were valid.The results of qualitative showed that the frequencies of high game engagement in the two cases both had an obvious decrease trends by behavioral contract intervention compared with that in the baseline period,while the frequencies of high game engagement in the tracking period increased slightly but was still lower than that in the baseline period.Combined with quantitative and qualitative analysis,it is found that the frequencies of high game engagement level in intervention period are lower than baseline period.it has risen slightly in the follow-up but was still lower than the baseline in comparison with the intervention.Conclusion: The behavior contract therapy has a certain immediate effects on junior first grader in high game engagement. |
