In the context of urban-rural integration,this paper studies the effects of rural education input and rural human capital on agricultural Total Factor Productivity(TFP).Firstly,it expounds the characteristics and connotation of rural human capital theory,rural education input theory and agricultural economy theory in rural education.Guided by relevant theories,this paper deeply analyzed the influence mechanism of rural human capital and rural education input on agricultural TFP.Secondly,this paper reveals the current situation and problems of rural education input,rural human capital,and agricultural production,and uses DEA-Malmquist(data envelopment analysis method and non-parametric linear programming method)index method to calculate the agricultural TFP of 30 provinces in China from 2004 to 2019.At the same time,the current situation of agricultural TFP in eastern,western and central China was analyzed,and based on 30 provincial panel data,the effects of rural human capital and rural education input on agricultural TFP,agricultural technical efficiency and agricultural technological progress in the control group were analyzed,and the results were empirically tested.After introducing the rural-urban integration variable,the variation of the experimental group was analyzed,and the intermediate effect method was used to test whether rural education input could influence agricultural TFP through the two factors of rural human capital and urban-rural income gap.Finally,according to the conclusions above,the paper puts forward solutions and suggestions to the problems existing in rural human capital,total investment in rural education,agricultural production efficiency,agricultural science and technology progress and rural education resources.The results of this study show that the increase of rural education investment can significantly and effectively improve China’s agricultural TFP,and promote the improvement of agricultural technology.But the effect on agricultural technical efficiency is not very significant.Rural human capital can significantly and effectively promote the continuous improvement of agricultural TFP,the continuous progress of agricultural technology,and the continuous improvement of agricultural technical efficiency.Under the background of urban-rural integration,agricultural TFP will be significantly increased under the influence of rural education input,and meanwhile,the influence of rural education input on agricultural technical progress will be weakened.The influence of rural human capital on agricultural TFP and agricultural technical efficiency will be enhanced,and the influence of rural human capital on agricultural technical progress will be weakened.Through the intermediate medium test,it can be concluded that the influence of rural education input on agricultural TFP is mainly realized through rural human capital,and a small part is realized through urban-rural income gap.
