| The advent and rise of the new science and technology revolution has brought humanity into a new era of intelligence,from the realization of the Smart Earth strategy to the construction of smart cities,and the term "wisdom" is gradually appearing in the field of education.Similarly,with the continuous advancement of technology,teaching and learning tools,as an indispensable part of teachers’ teaching and students’ learning,have also become "smart".Among the many smart teaching and learning tools,smart desks with their new technology,intelligent configuration and modern concepts in student learning,teachers’ teaching its unique charm.So,are the smart desks being utilized to their full potential? How can the effectiveness of smart desks be improved? To this end,the author took Changsha XX Primary School as an example and conducted a study on the effectiveness of the use of smart desks in the school.First,the author defines the basic concept of smart desks and their effectiveness,and points out that smart desks are not only an important learning tool for students,but also an important teaching tool for teachers in the classroom,meeting the needs of teachers and students in many aspects.The effectiveness of the smart desks is the effectiveness that teachers and students receive when they use the smart desks for teaching and learning.Secondly,the author analyzes the research on teaching tools,learning tools and smart teaching and learning tools at home and abroad,comprehensively analyzes the current situation and development trend of teaching tools,learning tools and smart teaching and learning tools at home and abroad,and elaborates on the functions of smart desks and the way and indexes for judging their effectiveness.Again,from the perspective of reality,the author takes teachers and students,the main subjects of smart desks,as the objects of the study,to judge the effectiveness of the use of smart desks in XX Primary School in Changsha,and finds that there are problems of inefficient use of smart desks.The performance of teachers’ ineffective use of smart desks in teaching and students’ ineffective use of smart desks in learning were described in four aspects: effectiveness,efficiency,utility,effectiveness and effect.Based on this performance,the author compiled and analyzed the data from the backend data,teaching videos and interviews with a sample of teachers and students in the elementary school,and finally concluded that the four main reasons for the ineffective use of smart desks were: the smart desks had many functions but their functions were not well set up;teachers had prejudice against the smart desks and were not capable of using them;students had a preference for using the smart desks and their self-control was weak;and the network was not stable enough to give the smart desks a chance to be used.The network is unstable and cannot give stable support to the smart desks.Finally,the author draws some strategies to improve the effectiveness of smart desks in elementary school,taking into account the performance and reasons of ineffective use of smart desks by teachers and students,in order to provide some feasible suggestions for the use of smart desks in elementary school and point out some possible directions for further research on smart teaching and learning tools. |
