| This paper is a study on peer negotiation behavior in senior-class children’s Anji game.Researchers believe that negotiation ability is the key to children’s social development. It is imperative to cultivate children’s peer negotiation behavior.Children’s peer negotiation behavior is a behavioral process in which children and their peers try to reach a consensus by exchanging information and coordinating their intentions. The process of peer negotiation includes negotiation object, negotiation subject, negotiation strategy and negotiation result. This study comprehensively uses the methods of observation and interview, and selects 43 senior-class children in an Anji kindergarten in Hohhot as the research object, including 23 boys and 20 girls.During the observation period, the researcher objectively recorded the peer negotiation behavior of children, made statistical analysis of the relevant data, and combined with teacher interviews, extracted the performance characteristics of peer negotiation behavior of children.First, from the perspective of the negotiation objects, children show a same-sex preference, and the same-sex consultation is more than the opposite-sex consultation, with significant differences. In general, girls initiate more peer consultations than boys do.Second, from the perspective of negotiation themes, children’s negotiation themes focus on "viewpoints",and have the most willingness to coordinate.Third, from the perspective of negotiation strategies, children’s negotiation strategies are mostly other-oriented,hoping to achieve the purpose of negotiation by changing the ideas and intentions of others.Fourth, from the negotiation results, children are willing to negotiate and cooperate, with more successful negotiations than failures.Through interviews and case analysis, the problems found in the peer negotiation in senior-class children’s Anji games were: lack of negotiation consciousness which caused peer conflict;single negotiation strategy, mostly other-oriented;unable to correctly view the negotiation results, and negatively respond to the negotiation failure. The reasons behind the problems are: constraints on children’s physical and mental development, the influence on early parent-child interaction experience, insufficient teacher guidance, ignoring the emotional experience of children’s peer negotiation;game generation teaching ignores children’s negotiation consciousness and ability;lack of effective evaluation of children’s peer negotiation behavior. The researchers put forward some educational suggestions.First of all, kindergarten managers should attach importance to peer consultation among children, strengthen professional training for teachers, create a cultural atmosphere of respect, equality and confidence, and improve game leadership.Second, teachers should grasp the valuable education opportunity to cultivate children negotiate consciousness, help children master negotiation strategy to develop social skills, evaluate children’s peer negotiation behavior effectively.Third, parents should set a good example, take the initiative to communicate with teachers, support children to communicate with their peers, and encourage children to solve peer conflicts independently. |
