The Influence Of Negative Life Events On The Loneliness Of Junior Middle School Students: The Mediating Role Of Social Anxiety | | Posted on:2021-01-20 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:R Y Zhang | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2507306113477464 | Subject:Mental health education | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Loneliness is a negative emotion,an emotional reaction that feels isolated,difficult to communicate with others and lonely.Junior high school students in the middle of adolescence often hide their inner world,so all kinds of troubles of junior high school students in their daily study and life often make them feel lonely when no one speaks to them,thus stimulating junior high school students to feel lonely.Loneliness will make junior high school students have negative emotions such as anxiety,sadness and even depression,which will lead to a decline in the quality of life and well-being of junior high school students,as well as academic performance.Reducing the loneliness of junior high school students has always been the focus of researchers.The objective of this study is to explore the present circumstances and peculiarities of junior high school students’ loneliness.And explore the ways that negative life events affect junior high school students’ loneliness.In this study,UCLA,ASLEC and Zhu Haidong’s revised Social anxiety scale were used to investigate the relationship among negative life events,loneliness and social anxiety of junior high school students.The results show that:(1)The grade difference of loneliness of junior high school students is significant,from high to low: Junior three,junior one and junior two;the gender difference of loneliness of junior high school students is not significant;the difference of family location of loneliness of junior high school students is not significant.(2)There is a significant correlation between negative life events and loneliness and social anxiety,and there is a significant correlation between loneliness and social anxiety.(3)Social anxiety plays an intermediary role in the influence of negative life events on loneliness.The main results go as follows:1.The overall level of loneliness of junior high school students is higher than that of junior high school students,and the grade affects the level of loneliness of junior high school students,the loneliness of junior high school students is higher than that of junior high school students,and the loneliness of junior high school students is higher than that of junior high school students.Gender and family location have no effect on junior high school students’ loneliness.2.There is a significant correlation between negative life events and loneliness and social anxiety,and there is a significant correlation between loneliness and social anxiety.3.Negative life events not only directly affect the loneliness of junior high school students,but also indirectly affect the loneliness of junior high school students through social anxiety. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Junior high school students, loneliness, negative life events, social anxiety | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
