Self-consistency and congruence is one of the most important concepts in Rogers personality theory,which refers to the psychological phenomenon that there is no tension and conflict in the individual’s internal concept of self,it is an important indicator of the level of individual mental health,and it is necessary to explore the factors affecting students’ self-consistency and congruence.The factors affecting self-consistency and congruence are divided into two aspects,internal and external,so this study aims to investigate the relationship between parental autonomy support and self-consistency and congruence of high school students,and add two variables of basic psychological needs and positive psychological capital,explore the influence mechanism of parental autonomy support on self-consistency and congruence,and provide theoretical support for improving the self-consistency and congruence level of high school students.A questionnaire was conducted on 778 high school students using the Parental Autonomy Support Scale,the Basic Psychological Needs Scale,the Positive Psychological Capital Scale and the Self-consistency and congruence Scale.The data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 25.0 software,and the results were as follows:(1)There are significant differences in the place of growth,grade,and parental academic qualifications of parents in high school students,and the score of parental autonomy support in urban areas is significantly higher than that in rural areas;the level of parental autonomy support for first-year students is significantly higher than that of the second grade;there are significant differences in parental autonomy in parental academic qualifications,and with the improvement of father and mother’s academic qualifications,the higher the degree of parental autonomy support perceived by children.(2)There are significant differences in the dimensions of competency needs of basic psychological needs in gender and grade,and the competency scores of boys are significantly higher than those of female students;the competency scores of the first and third grades of high school are significantly higher than those of senior students;the relationship needs of urban students are significantly different in terms of growth;and the degree of satisfaction of the relationship needs of urban students is higher than that of rural students.(3)There are significant differences between boys and girls in the total score of positive psychological capital,self-efficacy and resilience,boys’ scores are significantly higher than those of girls,and there is no difference in gender between the two sub-dimensions of hope and optimism;the resilience score of only children is significantly higher than that of non-only children;the two dimensions of hope and optimism are significantly different in grades,and the scores of the second grade of high school are the lowest;positive psychological capital is significantly different in parental education,and the higher the parents’ academic qualifications,the higher the level of positive psychological capital of their children.(4)Boys and girls have significant differences in the dimension of self-and experience disconsistency and congruence,and the degree of self-dissonance between girls and experiences is higher than that of boys;the dimension of self-flexibility differs significantly in terms of growth,and the self-flexibility of urban students is higher than that of rural students;there are significant differences in self-flexibility in parental academic qualifications,the higher the parents’ academic qualifications,the higher the children’s self-flexibility,and the better the level of self-consistency and congruence.(5)There is a positive correlation between the three variables of parental autonomy support,basic psychological needs,and positive psychological capital,and self-consistency and congruence is negatively correlated with the other three variables.(6)Parental autonomy support negative prediction self-consistency and congruence,the higher the parental autonomy support score,the lower the self-consistency and congruence score.(7)Basic psychological needs and positive psychological capital play an intermediary role between parental autonomy support and high school students’ self-consistency and congruence,and the mediation role includes two paths-the separate mediating role of basic psychological needs,and the chain mediation role of basic psychological needs and positive psychological capital.According to the results,it is concluded that parental autonomy support can not only directly affect self-consistency and congruence,but also affect self-consistency and congruence through the independent mediation of basic psychological needs,as well as the chain mediation of basic psychological needs and positive psychological capital.
