| School-based curriculum development is an effective way of curriculum reform in secondary vocational education and an important content of curriculum construction in secondary schools.Secondary schools should strive to cultivate professional talents that meet the needs of local economic development.In recent years,the development of tourism in Guizhou Province requires tourism practitioners to have certain humanistic literacy.In order to enhance students’ cultural literacy and build their professional cognition and vocational literacy as a whole,as well as to inherit the excellent hometown culture,a school-based curriculum of Guizhou Tourism Culture is developed.This paper draws on the humanistic curriculum theory and Skilbeck’s environmental model to conduct research on the development of the school-based curriculum of "Guizhou Tourism Culture".Firstly,we conducted a research on teachers and students of tourism majors and practitioners of tourism industry in G City Vocational School for Girls through questionnaire and interview method in order to explore the necessity of school-based curriculum development of Guizhou Tourism Culture.We also conducted a survey on professional teachers in G City Vocational School for Girls to understand the current situation of school-based curriculum development conducted in the school,analyzed the current situation and the problems,and summarized that irregular development procedures,lack of effective guidance for school-based curriculum development,imperfect evaluation system of school-based curriculum,and low level of teachers’ school-based curriculum development are the factors that affect curriculum development.Second,the operational procedures of school-based curriculum development in Skilbeck’s environmental model were followed and guided by the concepts and principles of curriculum development in humanistic curriculum theory.Based on the analysis of the internal and external environment of the school,the humanistic curriculum theory was used to guide the setting of curriculum objectives,programming,curriculum implementation and evaluation stages,and finally the construction and development of the school-based curriculum of "Guizhou Tourism Culture" was completed.In order to achieve the course objectives of improving students’ humanistic literacy and building students’ professional cognition and vocational literacy as a whole,five chapters of Guizhou overview,food culture,ethnic culture,historical culture and red culture are set,and various teaching methods with vocational education characteristics,such as task-driven method,situational simulation method and cooperative learning method,are adopted for course implementation,while a more complete At the same time,we have designed a comprehensive course evaluation system,including students’ academic evaluation,teachers’ teaching evaluation and evaluation of the course itself.Finally,we collected feedback from the teaching practice of "Tunbao Culture" as an example to summarize the dilemmas faced by the curriculum development and feedback information,and provide suggestions for improving the school-based curriculum of "Guizhou Tourism Culture". |
