Known as the "world’s first sport","modern football" has a broad mass base all over the world and has always attracted people’s attention and love.In recent years,my country has vigorously carried out campus football and actively promoted the healthy development of campus football activities.Under the background that my country attaches great importance to the development of campus football,the optimization and transformation of school physical education teaching mode is the focus of promoting the healthy development of campus football activities.At present,the traditional physical education model has a single teaching method,and the students’ participation in the classroom is low,and the teaching effect cannot be guaranteed.As a physical education method,the game teaching method can be combined with the specific teaching content to stimulate students’ interest in learning,improve students’ classroom participation,and thus improve the teaching effect.Therefore,under the guidance of the State Council’s "Opinions on Deepening the Integration of Sports and Education to Promote the Healthy Development of Adolescents" in the new era,this paper attempts to apply the game teaching method to the compulsory football course of the physical education major of Xi’an Physical Education University,and explores the practical application effect.Summarize the experience and deficiencies,and provide some practical application experience for the optimization and transformation of school physical education teaching mode.Starting from the syllabus of the compulsory football course for physical education majors of Xi’an Physical Education University and the basic characteristics of football,this paper uses the methods of literature,questionnaires,expert interviews,experiments,mathematical statistics and other research methods to select the physical education of Xi’an Physical Education University.All the students in the 6th and 8th classes of the 2020 physical education major of the college are the experimental objects.Before the experiment,the students in the experimental class and the control class were tested in terms of football learning interest level,football physical fitness,and football skill level indicators.The results showed that there was no significant difference in the selected experimental indicators between the experimental class and the control class,indicating that the experimental subjects themselves before the experiment.The level of interest in football learning,physical fitness,and football skills are basically close to each other,ensuring that experimental teaching can be carried out.After the experiment,the selected experimental indicators of the experimental subjects were tested again and statistically analyzed.Result:(1)After the experiment,the analysis results of the level of interest in football learning showed that the negative interest in football learning in the experimental class decreased by 2 compared to before the experiment,and 1.7 in the control class;the active interest in football learning in the experimental class increased compared with that before the experiment2.Compared with the control class,it increased by2.89;the football self-exploration and learning in the experimental class increased by3.12 compared with that before the experiment,and increased by 2.65 compared with the control class;the football participation in the experimental class increased by 4compared with that before the experiment.Compared with the control class,it increased by 1.3;the experimental class’ s attention to football increased by 3.28 compared with that before the experiment,and increased by 2.58 compared with the control.(2)After the experiment,the results of the football physical fitness analysis showed that in the 5×25-meter turnaround test,the average score of the experimental class increased by 0.94 seconds compared with before the experiment,and increased by 0.02 seconds compared with the control class;in the 1000-meter run In terms of testing,the average score of the experimental class increased by 3.38 seconds compared to before the experiment,and increased by 2.15 seconds compared to the control class.(3)After the experiment,the analysis results of the football skill level showed that the average score of football jumping in the experimental class increased by12.25 points compared with before the experiment,and 2.9 points higher than that in the control class;Compared with before the experiment,the score increased by 4.98 seconds,and compared with the control class,it increased by 0.6 seconds;the13-meter instep or inner side shooting score increased by 5.51 compared with that before the experiment,and increased by 1.08 compared with the control class.And before and after the experiment,the students in the experimental class and the control class have significant differences in the level of football skills.(4)After the experiment,the results of the questionnaire survey on the teaching feedback of the game teaching method showed that 85% or more of the students in the experimental class were satisfied with the teaching organization form,teaching effect and the promotion of communication between teachers and students of this teaching method,and some students held a general attitude,and no students had other attitudes.Conclusion:(1)Both the game teaching method and the traditional teaching method can improve the learning interest of football beginners,but the improvement of the experimental class is better than that of the control class and there are significant differences.Participate more actively in classroom teaching activities.(2)Both the game teaching method and the traditional teaching method can improve the physical fitness of football beginners,but there is no significant difference in the data before and after the experiment,indicating that the game teaching method has no obvious influence on the basic football physical quality of students.(3)Both game teaching and traditional teaching can improve the football skills of football beginners,but the improvement degree of the experimental class is better than that of the control class and there is a significant difference.It can be seen that the game teaching method has a positive effect on the improvement of students’ football skills.(4)After the experiment,85% or more of the students in the experimental class were satisfied with the game teaching method in terms of teaching organization,teaching effect,and the promotion of communication between teachers and students,indicating that the students in the experimental class affirmed and accepted this teaching method.
