Returning To Connectedness: Research On New Social Modes From The Perspective Of Media Sociology ——Taking Offline Murder Mystery As An Example

Murder Mystery is a popular offline role-playing game among young people.It takes role-playing as the carrier and forms a new game form through deduction.Benefited from the birth of the Internet and the rapid development of digital media,social network has gradually become an important part of human social life,and in this background,why the script to kill such a main social offline role-playing games can stand out,embodies the youth groups in the network era of what kind of social dilemma? This is the main concern of this study.In the second chapter,this study mainly answers the question of "what is Murder Mystery?" and combs the development history and types of Murder Mystery.In the third chapter,it mainly answers the question of "how to play" and introduces and analyzes the specific ways and forms of Murder Mystery."What is" is intended to answer the question of what Murder Mystery is and what characteristics it has."Why" is the answer to the question of how scripted killer games can stand out from the rest of offline entertainment in the Internet age.I used José van Dijck’s connection theory for in-depth interpretation of this phenomenon.The study found that with the continuous development of network technology and the popularization of the Internet,people have become more and more interconnected,and network social interaction has gradually become the main form of daily interaction.With the embedding of the network situation into the real situation,the social communication between people has gradually shifted from the "circle of acquaintances" to the "circle of strangers",and from the real space to the virtual space.However,Internet enterprises and online social platforms constantly promote the occurrence of people’s online interaction,forming a light social and even pan-social phenomenon,and meaningless social communication will bring people to social media burnout.The rapid development of Murder Mystery is driven by the offline social needs of modern youth groups.It not only provides a game process of entertainment relief,but also brings real social experience for players.However,the more the player is immersed in the game,the more it is an escape from the real life.This escape is short-lived.After the game,they still need to "put on the mask" and return to the real world,and the old problems still exist.Murder Mystery,or other forms of entertainment like it,are only a temporary way of letting go of the player’s real problems.The network society has made the communication transcend the traditional time and space boundary,and greatly enriched the way of people’s communication.However,the rapid development of the network society has brought about the impoverishment of people’s spiritual world.In such a highly media-oriented era,we need to think about how to meet the offline social needs of people,especially young people,and fill the "emotional vacancy" between each other.
