With the advent of the artificial intelligence era,and the tax policy is constantly updated and changing,it brings new challenges to the teaching of "tax practice" course of accounting affairs major in secondary vocational schools.As a core professional course of accounting affairs major in secondary vocational schools,"tax practice" emphasizes that the latest policies and the practical operation skills of taxrelated business should be simultaneously run through the whole teaching process,aiming at improving students’ comprehensive ability and professional competitiveness.In light of the above-mentioned situation,the traditional teaching method presently adopted has been proved not efficient for students to master the practical skills of "tax practice" and improve their tax ability,which is not conducive to the cultivation of compound talents who are needed in financial posts in the new era.Starting with the analysis of the existing drawbacks in the application of PBL(Problem –based-Learning)teaching method in secondary vocational schools,this study integrates the different ability points in the five disciplines of steam concept,constructs a new teaching mode to promote the overall development of students,analyzes the feasibility of constructing PBL teaching method based on steam concept,establishes a basic model to guide the secondary vocational "tax practice" course to carry out specific teaching practice,and selects the calculation and declaration of individual income tax of the course to implement the demonstration of teaching design and teaching practice.In the study,19 accounting class 2 is taken as the experimental class with adoption of PBL teaching method based on steam concept for teaching while class 19 accounting class 3 as the control class with the traditional teaching approach to carry out experimental comparative analysis for the teaching of "tax practice".Before and after the teaching experiment,the students’ satisfaction with curriculum experience and various abilities were investigated by questionnaires and scales.The results of pre-test and post-test have been analyzed with SPSS24.0,which demonstrates that the PBL teaching approach based on steam concept can not only improve students’ academic performance and learning interest,but also enhance their comprehensive capability.The PBL teaching method based on steam concept effectively copes with the shortcomings of PBL teaching method,which takes students’ problem-solving as the ultimate goal and ignores the process learning and comprehensive ability training of them.The integration of steam concept and PBL teaching method is turned out to be a novel and meaningful attempt,which can provide a new perspective for the follow-up research.This mode not only meets the requirements of personnel nurturing in secondary vocational education reform,but also realizes students’ development,and provides a new idea for the development of the integration of steam concept into other courses teaching in secondary vocational schools.
