Comprehensive practical activity course plays an important role in the cultivation of students’ comprehensive quality.In order to better promote the implementation of the educational goal of comprehensive practical activity course,it is urgent to combine new ideas to guide the effective development of comprehensive practical activity course.As a successful interdisciplinary concept in the world,steam education concept is highly consistent with comprehensive practical activity curriculum in many aspects.The integration of steam education concept into primary school comprehensive practical activity curriculum in China can provide a new design direction for the classroom teaching of primary school comprehensive practical activity curriculum,and develop primary school comprehensive practical activity curriculum cases with new theoretical guidance.Based on the review of the current research status of steam education and comprehensive practice courses at home and abroad,this paper,guided by constructivism learning theory,multi-intelligence theory and interdisciplinary teaching concept,has carried out the curriculum design research of comprehensive practice activities in primary school based on steam education concept.First,this study analyzes the necessity and feasibility of integrating steam education concept into the comprehensive practice activity curriculum in primary school.Then,the students of s primary school in Zhangzhou City,Fujian Province are selected to conduct a questionnaire survey on the implementation status of the comprehensive practical activity curriculum in primary school and the teaching needs of primary school students for the comprehensive practical activity curriculum,and refer to the results of the survey,The teaching case of the comprehensive practice activity course in primary school based on steam education concept is designed preliminarily-"turbid water purification".Then,three classes in grade 4 of primary school are selected to carry out the three rounds of iterative study of the course case.Through the observation and reflection of classroom teaching,the teaching design of each round is gradually improved.After three rounds of classroom teaching practice and two amendments to the curriculum cases,the third teaching case has been relatively scientific and mature.After the third round of classroom teaching cases are implemented,five students are randomly selected to conduct interviews and investigations in this class to objectively,comprehensively and deeply understand their satisfaction with the third classroom teaching practice and teaching cases.The results show that students are satisfied with the teaching activities and cases of the comprehensive practice activities curriculum based on steam education concept.Compared with the traditional classroom,students prefer the comprehensive practical activity class based on steam education concept,and integrating steam education into the comprehensive practice activity curriculum in primary school is conducive to promoting students’ learning,Exercise students’ abilities in all aspects in the activities.
