With the in-depth development and utilization of tin resources in China,the characteristics of tin ore resources have gradually become poor and fine,and the low recovery rate of fine-grained cassiterite is an important cause of waste of tin resources.Flotation is an important method for recovering fine-grained cassiterite.In recent years,the development and application of many high-efficiency flotation agents have significantly improved the floatability of fine-grained cassiterite.In this paper,a new cassiterite activator KT-51 is taken as the research object,and the effect of this activator on the surface properties and floatability of cassiterite is studied.The pure mineral flotation test selects BHA as the collector.Without activation,the recovery of cassiterite is only about 50%.The recovery of cassiterite can reach 95%after activation.A total of three cassiterite activators were selected in this article.Among them,(CH3COO)2Pb and Pb NO3 are two common cassiterite activators,which are used to compare the effects with the new activator KT-51.In the results of the pure mineral flotation test,under the optimal amount of each activator,the recovery rate of tin reached 95.2%when the amount of KT-51 was 40 mg/L,and the recovery rate of tin was 95.8%when the amount of Pb NO3 was 30 mg/L.The activation effect is 90.8%when the recovery rate is higher than 60mg/L of(CH3COO)2Pb.The potentiostatic test showed that the zero electric point p H of cassiterite was about 3.8,and the zero electric point of cassiterite was obviously negatively shifted after the action of the collector.After the activator was activated and the collector was added,the zero electric point of cassiterite appeared.The p H enomenon of positive shift,infrared analysis results prove that the adsorption of activator and collector on the surface of cassiterite is chemical adsorption.XPS analysis also shows that KT-51 acts on the surface of cassiterite through chemical adsorption,and promotes the adsorption of the collector on the mineral surface.The reagent adsorption test showed that lead nitrate,lead acetate and KT-51 all promoted the adsorption of collector on the surface of cassiterite,but the promotion effect of KT-51 was more obvious and effective.KT-51 is applied to the flotation of a cassiterite tailings in Myanmar.YT-1 is used as the cassiterite collector.In the combined flotation process of the machine column,when the tin feed grade is 0.29%,the tin concentrate grade can be obtained.The indicators of 6.07%and tin recovery rate of 72.1%indicate that the new activator KT-51 has good industrial application value.
